QLD Tried Hard But NSW Do Not Fear Suncorp | Origin 3 Review + Round 19 Preview

QLD seemed like they expected NSW to fold. And they did not. Fair play to them. We just got out-played, plain and simple.

The cleary strip should have been a qld penalty, it wasn't one on one, another player had his hand on cobbo back as cleary was stripping the ball.

QLD was entitled to catch a damn ball. When NSW put 3 or 4 dinky kicks up a third of the way through the 1st half roughly and QLD dropped and knocked on every single one, they invite NSW to score tries. Then around roughly the same time you're getting Cobbo stripped like a child, Cotter knocking it on for nothing...just error on error for nothing and NSW just go...thanks, cool.

Will they re-sign him and keep him starting in the halves, or could he move into a bench role to open up an opportunity to target someone like Ezra, who reportedly wants out, or Jarome Luai, who is now available to negotiate with? That was the worst performance over the series by a ref and the bunker since Bill Harrigan missed 3 knock ons.

It's not good enough at this level, Klein is a terrible ref at club level let alone big games so shouldn't be anywhere near Origin.

They missed two in the tackle on the strip on Cobbo as Murray clearly had his hand on him and the Bostock knock on was obvious to everyone except the refs.

Ponga should never been sent off as it was a head clash but Klein over ruled the bunker who had a better view. Not good enough

Everytime there is a NSW line break it’s all blue and fee maroon jerseys in the picture, very different from the first half of game 1 and Game 2. Cotter fails to cover the inside = Cleary’s 1st try. Munster missed a tackle on Martin = Cleary’s second try.

How can they go through the Plath offside with a fine tooth comb but not the Bostock touch. Usually they clear the offside the fist thing, not when the kicker is walking back to kick the goal. SOmething wrong happened there and no one is talking about because of the Bostock clanger

The Bunker actually made the correct decision because Klein awarded the try with his on-field decision. Had Klein said 'no try, then the Bunker had the role to prove the try ws not tron a knock on. Klein's decision stands unless the Bunker is totally sure. Klein was controversial in two games out of three and should not get the gig again. Furthermore, the strip on Cobbo by Cleary was done when Cobbo was concussed.

The product is already marred. It's too late to fix it. Older people who played the game who were once fans are leaving the game in droves. We old farts are sports heads. We want to watch sport. Sport is the the thing that enteratins us. Win or lose a fair game is all we need. The NRL is an entertainment industry, it's not sport end of story. I would imagine that at least half of those watching last night have never played the game, they just want to be entertained. They were entertained. Never in my life have I witnessed an Origin series where the talk was more about the ref or the bunker than this one. It happens to be the case with fixture games as well. The NRL is a billion dollar industry that supports many other big businesses. Gambling, talk shows, journalism, TV, merch and so on. Everyone is making money so why rock the boat!?
