What were Neanderthal tools really like? In this video, I take replicas of real Mousterian stone toolsโcrafted using the same techniques Neanderthals used over 50,000 years agoโand put them through a series of hands-on experiments. From cutting wood to scraping hides, I test just how effective these ancient tools really were.
9:15 I'm sorry, THAT is COMPLETELY impossible... the liberals and other communists told me that violence wasn't invented until AFTER the gun was invented.... there's NO WAY humans could have been killing each other for hundreds of thousands of years with rocks and sticks.. ๐
These werenโt just primitive rocks. They were the product of skill, intelligence, and generations of knowledge. Join me as I explore the craftsmanship behind themโand discover how these tools shaped the survival of one of our closest human relatives.
๐จ Featuring: Hand axes, scrapers, and flake tools
Neanderthals were close contact hunters, bulky, they didn't use the bow and arrow.

Those spears arenโt well made at all. A 10 year old could do a better job. Iโm surprised theyโre so crooked and crude.

Hey, I only came here to tell you. The Shรถningen spears and the Clacton spear.. they are bows.
Without a doubt. I could prove it to you and teach you to build and use them.
They are not compressed from sediment. No other fossils or atlatl darts or other auch artifacta do that. 100% they are bows.
You need to teach people this. It is important.

@OverlordGaming2Why does he say Neanderthal like that?
@maximusvarea6660My man uses the word penetrate way too often ๐
@kittydream_4717you have so much reused clips and info in all your videos. it makes it confusing to if ive watched this before or not

@alexandarvoncarsteinzarovi3723Nederlands were dangerous
@DanielJacksonSzeklergate3Fire vid but why u use the save thumbnail every single video
@Andrew-e4s4sWhat type of material did you use to make the blades
@KJOnTheGoShortsThere's been such a concerted effort for a little while now to rehabilitate the reputation of Neanderthals as smarter or superior, and yet here we are, and there they are as fossils. Nature doesn't lie, they weren't fitter.
@kaamos79Neandertall?
@CxvheXDWhy are we acting like we aren't still around. Western Europens are a little bit Neanderthal. We should just embrace are our fellow Homo ancestors.
@TheHortoncrowThis video is bullshit. Nobody evolved from anything. Humans were always human. The people now called "Neanderthals" were just like us. We have people of different skin color, different hair color, and other features, but they are all human, and they can intermarry and have offspring. And this is the same for the so-called "Neanderthals". They have been absorbed into the rest of the human race. Some subgroups of humans have more of the features identified with the "Neanderthals".
@yebobabaWhen's he gonna learn that balisitcs gel doesn't replicate penetration for arrows and spears
@gant8408imagine if you took a European crossbow from the time when the Europeans tried to invade the Aztecs and gave it a arrow with a obsidian tip ouch
@sdoo-ou2niSo your saying a rock is stronger then skin and bone.
Never imagined that when its called the stone age.
The penetration was impressive.
@minmus410Thanks ๐๐๐
@ujmijn2000One of the deadliest yet simplest weapons, a heavy unga bunga wooden branch used as an impromptu club.
@hussainalkhatem299Take a shot every time he says levauwa
@neb5711:37 That fish, eating a fish, fossil is amazing!
@zacsayer1818999+ missed calls from mike shake
@jurbanartLol and how would you know what happened 400k years ago
@spiderphone4430The "Lavawa" technique shown in this video is spelled 'Levallois' If anyone is interested in looking it up, The spelling is so different from the pronunciation It's almost impossible to guess because it's French.
@Dan-oe4veWeird idea, Did denisovans have similar technology to Neanderthals because of more recent common ancestry, or more recent cultural exchange, and then do aboriginals have neanderthal like technologies because they had a cultural exchange or partial blending with denisovans, as evidenced by their high denisovan ancestry.
@Dan-oe4veMe saying out loud that Ive been loving Far Cry Primal brought me here
@csteegs8681This is so well presented and edited. You are a master
@silverboyi1154Iโm a hunter if you can make it bleed it will die youโll find it leaving a blood trail shooting a deer with a lead ball makes a deer have a little drizzle here and there now imagine that thing ๐ฎ
@Billysumbumwow science is converting them to human's before our very eyes !
@terrystinnett1190Just threw some neanderthal styled spears at my neighbors, pretty lethal to say the least
@TheGoober2007It's perfectly obvious that leaf-shaped blades are ideally suited for effortlessly cutting through bones. Any knife with a serrated edge can be thrown away; they'll get stuck in the bone.
@AbandonedGhostHorror-p1ispear win!
@AbandonedGhostHorror-p1iNeanderTALL sounds funny๐๐
@d.breezySo Neanderthal were smart enough to use knives but not the english. Haha thats funny
