To anyone reading this, be carful not to mix up "buyer of put option" vs "buyer of stock", or vise versa for selling. If I buy the put option, I'm selling the stock at a given strike price defined in the contract within the time frame.

@loftyint3ntions
@

@8:30 is right when it clicked

@danielchristopher2933
@

Do you have to wait until the contract period has expired before you sell? As in, if it’s a month long contract and the stock is going down down down and then suddenly, two days before the end of the contract, it shoots back up higher than the contract price….are you screwed? I’m assuming the answer is yes?🥴🥹

Dave in Buster's stock was $44 two years ago? It's trading at $14 today.

I lost 48k selling put options 2 months ago. Stay far away from buying or selling options.

@bozomonster

If I told you I will sell you your favorite cd for $40 and you agreed, then I find it at a yard sale for $30, I made $10 bucks. If I find it at a yard sale for $5, I made $35 bucks. Get it? Got it? Good!

I don’t understand because in the beginning, you said I was buying the Dave and Busters stock from Brian at $40 and then at 2:17 I’m SELLING to Brian at $40…

@FullFlushh

Great video, with clear and simple examples for us to understand how put options work.
My Q for you is this: At 8:30 when you say that one can sell the options contract for 10$ per share once the stock price fells to 30$ from 40$, who is going to buy this option contract? and why buy it?
Thanks so much!

@THEBLASTOFF444

For the longest I thought to buy at 45 and sell at 40 and you somehow get money for that. So you can’t just buy a put

Thank you for explaining properly. Hard to find a Tutor that is actually wanting to help and teach. i subbed about a week ago and i dont regret it at all very helpful thank you.

@Imragequit
@

Can you make a video showing it on robinhood ?

@ramanurs
@

Clearly I need to focus more, if I want to short a stock, I can sell it at 45 today, why should I pay, to wait a month to sell it at 40?

@FernandoValentino93
@

So the only way you can buy/make money from a put is if somebody else agrees to your deal, and thus you gaining money would be them losing and vice versa?

@leaf16nut
@

He’s not explaining this correctly. People look at better videos. You sell PUTS on companies you will like to be assigned. So whether it’s up or down you don’t care because you only do this for companies you’d like to own. And he keeps saying .45 cent. He should be saying $45. If I want to own SOFI for $20 I’d sell PUTS out for a month to hopefully be assigned those shares at that price. If it goes up I’m still good. Your contracts don’t expire worthless like he said. 🤦🏼‍♂️

@2011Savere
@

GREAT TEACHING

@MaryPreciousDecorationAndMore
@

Does it mean you will not have to buy the stock at $41 and sell it at $40 if the price dropped to $41? So the option just expires and just make you only loose the premium? That is why it is called an option?

@zhangray3203
@

Y CANT I UNDERSTAAAAAAAND!!!!!
