no offense to both of you guys.... but Jude probably just doesn't want to play in the EPL.... he went from the best German team to arguably one of the best club teams in the whole world..not just Spain... the EPL is so overrated its insane. we in america only pay more attention and know more about the EPL because again, its whats given to us and its what we understand (language).... if La Liga or Serie A or Bundesliga was on USA or NBC every Saturday and Sunday morning we would watch that too. and more people would end up watching more la Liga or series a games realistically, because all together its a better product of the game. the EPL is a Joke... and I mean that by.. the officiating. the rules. ... you can compare the EPL to the NFL...... rules are loose, nobody knows them. we only want big market teams winning all the time....... like cmon

I believe Bayern meddled, keeping Davies entirely out of the WC. Feel bad for Alphonzo, but he is not Captain worthy, regardless of the injury. Estaquio, Alistaire Johnston, so many other options. I LOVE my CANMNT, but Davies has only been making 'guest appearances' since 2021. Canada qualified FIRST for 2022 with Davies at less than half of the matches. How about focusing on the team,...remember them?

First off, thanks for all the work you guys do! Thoughts on the importance of an American coach for our national team who cares about our country (vs just another resume builder for a foreign coach)? Landon for USMNT coach?
A few other thoughts:
1. Diego Luna should have been on the squad. He would've brought fight, no question.
2. Poch has to be sacked. We haven't beat a single equal/higher ranked team, he didn't change strategy when ours wasn't working v belgium. Why are we paying this guy again?

@Rufus2000Here’s a good thing I see coming from all of this: the expectations are rising. Seeing how frustrated American fans are about this result shows how much the level of interest and expectation is going up. I think we all bought in to this team and are backing them so much, that I think all of us, even casuals, are extremely frustrated and expect more. It sucks, but I think it could be a good thing. These guys need to know that the expectations are rising, and hopefully they rise with it.

@itzlegion123The USA defence and keeper absolutely were/are 3 goals less talented than that Belgian side. Why can't Americans just accept that they don't have that much depth? A few decent players who play in Europe doesn't cover the cracks. You're putting MLS players up against elite European players in major leagues what on earth do you expect? There's a massive gulf in quality. It might be partly due to overrating the MLS which is probably comparable to tier 2 in much of Europe and tier 3 in England.

@anaheimducksfan2469To be fair to VAR the referee explained the foul on Martinez was the start of Egypts attack, and the Eygpt player would not have won the ball without the other player tugging back Martinez, from there the goal it was about 13 seconds, that is not outrageous. If it was Argentina vs France nobody would have said anything. Now it seems we have this situation where whenever a call goes against a smaller team they are "robbed" by FIFA and the "big boys".

@A.Majeed_I think that the U.S really shot themselves in the foot by Reversing the Red Card Decision on Balogun. I'm not going to blame the USA's terrible performance all on that situation, but it was definitely a distraction to our players. It also gave Belgium a chip on their shoulder as well and motivated them to beat us in spectacular fashion. Belgium made a statement.

@derGods-l2mThis might be stupid, but is it possible that the US team was not well prepared tactically for Belgium because they suddenly gained Balogun back the day before the match? They must’ve been preparing as if he would not be there and then all of that went out the window with little time to adjust. Maybe that’s why they didn’t play Belgium differently as you guys said. I realize Belgium also had short change of notice to their plans, but with their elite veteran makeup, can’t help but feel they were more equipped to handle that chaos than our players who look absolutely bewildered.
