cons, people don’t know how to drive — the weather, esp. in the summer over the past few years… 95+, some days in triple digits. pros, affordable utilities, PGW and PECO are cheap.

On septa: it’s really a lot worse than the MTA, as crazy as that may sound to New Yorkers

And I take the EL every week, and I find it beyond unacceptable how much vagrancy is permitted.

I rode the subway in New York. I’d let them ride the broad street line, I wouldn’t have them ride the EL until the city treats open air drug use like the crime it is

How about you speak about the con of the ridiculously high murder rate in Philadelphia with a DA and mayor that let criminals roam the streets?

I am Gen X and a introvert and a jerk and I want to move to Philly. If I want to find The One I will transform myself into a people person. I want to move to Philly but if I am a jerk and everyone there is a jerk then how am I supposed to find The One?

Philly makes their budget on towing cars which is a terrible way to introduce tourists and visitors to your city. The last thing people want when visiting downtown Philly is having their cars towed or booted. Philly’s street signs are also confusing and worse than NYC. So the reason why people don’t move there unless they had to for a job or cheap rent.

I'm moving from Western MA to Lancaster right now - but my goal is Philly. Once I'm able to save up enough money staying with a friend, I'll have enough to actually afford the initial upfront costs of a studio in Philly; can't do that where I am right now.

Being born and raised in Philadelphia, I would seriously tell anyone considering moving into the city to not do it. Too many negatives involved, especially with children. Do not move into this city even if you have no children. It’s dangerous, the taxes are too high and it’s a total hassle. If you have any self-respect, do not move into Philadelphia. Not even think about it. No way! Not even 100 years from now! Never! Ever! Don’t even think of it as a joke! Stay away, far away from the city of Philadelphia. Take this free advise as a warning!! Beware! I warned you!!

It's funny that the Presenter pretends to talk about Pro's and Con's without even talking about crime. I guess that I can appreciate that he's not carrying water for Krasner / perpetuating his lies (as the local press does), but it's absolutely a detraction...

If you're thinking about moving the Philadelphia, DON'T!!! If you don't believe me, do yourself a favor and rent for the first year that you live here before you buy property.

The Greater Philadelphia Area has much better options than the city itself: the suburbs, Northern DE, Central / Southern NJ - do yourself a favor and check those areas out instead of Philadelphia itself.

Pro #4 you Forgot John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge by the airport. America's first urban wildlife refuge. Amazing bird watching. Watch a Bald eagle and an Osprey fight over a fish. Count egrets and find that obscure duck or waterfowl for your life list.

Philly is a sewer. Keep lying to yourself because there are a few ultra bougie places ( some of which aren't even proper Philadelphia).

Traffic and crime suck.
Lawlessness and addiction reign.

The nightly news is the multiple murder report.

Looks amazing. But, you do yourself a disservice by NOT covering, what everywhere else is showing, drugs, zombies, homeless, prostitution etc. as if they don't even exist. Sure maybe they don't, but those shows certainly showed something you have not covered, and I get it , not good pr. But how about an unbiased truth of the situation currently. ???
That if it doesn't exist, or is not that bad, surely that would help dispel the reason most anyone, would not want to go there.??

I grew up in the metro area. This Christmas I found myself walking in Society Hill and could not believe there was a charming, European-esque neighborhood right there in my backyard. You’re right, the type of place that doesn’t really exist in America.

Left Philly years ago. My kids no longer had a future in the ghetto public school system. The amount of homicides every year & drug epidemic. Think twice

Absolutely LOVE living in Philly. Those naysayers for those considering moving here know nothing. Also, I disagree on the hospitality thing. The vast majority of people are friendly.

There’s almost no pros living in Philly. Move to bucks county screw Philly. Philly has 4 corners and only one is decent.

Philadelphia is going through growing pains The business like you said licencing etc got issues Especially taxes Utilities etc ... That Honesty yeah that's us ... We don't dig all advertising of the City ... Come check it out you either will like or you don't...

Philly does not brand itself well because its government is literally out to lunch on this and other issues vital to a healthy economic future. City Council is burdened with mostly incompetent virtue signalers who are only learning how to make their own positions secure in perpetuity. Market Street East consistently underperforms as a vital retail corridor because our government is incompetent and doesn’t care.
