I went snowboarding, I learned to ride and bought a motorbike, I donated blood, I ran the London Marathon, I went surfing. I kept up this mindset of 'screw it, just do it' after the year was out and taught myself to play guitar. I did amateur boxing training for 3 years.
Now I'm 52. This year's challenge is to do 4 x 50,000 step walks (about 38km) - I've done three so far. And I've got back into boxing and may have my first amateur bout in November.
I wasn't always peaks, there were troughs, too. Marriage barely lasted 2 years (she chose her career), and Covid meant I had to leave a really nice school, but now I have a 28 y.o. Asian girlfriend, I rode my motorbike from Jakarta to Cimaja, and I'm having a post-surf beer among palm trees. Gents, give yourself challenges
