Are any of these sung by the lead singer for Poets of the Fall by any chance? It sounds almost identical to them at times and with the songs they made for the Alan Wake franchise. Maybe that is just how many artists and bands sound like in these countries though lol.

if anyone wants a heavier version of this, a lot of the groove metal brilliance of Pentakill is provided by half of the former UK metal band Xerath. The last song they released is called Regret and is a masterpiece. you can hear influence on the Pentakill sound immediately

Respect for the guy, but he has a bit of a “Sinatra” range where it’s a smaller window but god dammit I’ll never fault anyone for slapping it.
Biggest issue tbh with A7X was this was the direction they could have completely gone in as a GH2 kid who first heard them there.
They’re good, I feel they tried to branch out before they hit their true stride with their debut style. This album basically kind of does that… gorgeous but there’s the shadow of disappointment there.
What’s A7X up to these days?
