So, you see someone that looks like you and does exactly the same thing you do at the same time, and you decide to dance? C'mon, where's the survival instinct?

Acting truly excellent, ending a bit too corny: was really hoping they'd start swing dancing in a way that made original/doppelganger puppet/puppeteer deeply unclear and then the electicity just cuts. Darkness, quiet, a brief desperate scuffle of feet, then an uncomfortably long pause on nothing. Credits.

Very nice, very Lynchian, because of its doppelgangerian theme and the anxiety lurking just beneath the seemingly common occurrence of answering the knock at the door. The touches of humour stand in nice contrast to the horror, accentuating it perfectly, mainly due to the perfectly chosen video clip and the accompanying music that work both as the foreshadowing/premonition and as the seed of the protagonist's idea to start dancing.

As many others have noted, it's high time we saw a remake with a different ending - the one in here is just too corny and does zero justice to this otherwise great short.

Incidentally, the "human puppet" idea is as old as the world. Check out this great classic Gothic tale from over 110 years ago, "The Spider" (1915) by German author Hanns Heinz Ewers, here in its translation to English:
