Jeffries couldn't even come out & say the NOT QUIET part, OUTLOUD! if we lose the Midterms, both Chambers, we are going headfirst into an Autocratic Oligarchy ... aka Fascism ... aka kleptocracy & kakistocracy! The fact he won't admit we will have LOST our Democracy at that point, tells me ALL i need to know about WHY neither he nor Schumer, should EVER be our Speakers of Majority or Minority - ever again!!

Since Trump (with Netanyahu's partnership) started this unilateral war, he has been acting like a spoiled brat, very angry because NATO members didn't support him - after all, they didn't want to repeat the mistake of getting on the sinking ship that was the invasion of Iraq. And he started taxing, attacking, and threatening historical US allies, preferring to welcome the dictator, and also invader, Putin, in Anchorage with bows and a red carpet. Canceling US economic sanctions against Russia. But he forgot - as the Arab proverb says - that "Even the best of snakes is a snake" , and the Latin maxim "Inter duos litigantes, tertius gaudet" ("Between two litigants (individuals in dispute), the third rejoices").
Now Americans and the rest of the world, are paying with billions of dollars deficit and lives, for his mistake.

@jrrarglblarg9241Even if Democrats win the mid terms, don't expect things to change much! With money from sources like Citizens United, AIPAC and others, things will somewhat remain the same. Democrats had a chance when Biden was in and we all can see how they failed! We wound up with Trump again. When people like Garland are appointed as AG, we all lose. We need people that will stand up to special interests, not bow down in front of them!

Trump is doing what previous presidents didn't have the balls to do - de-fanging Iran for a safer world! If we have to sacrifice a little, so be it! @MariamjoieTrump should have kept to the terms the Memorandum of Understanding, paragraph 5, which said that Iran would control access to the Strait and would not charge ships for 60 days. He could have agreed a new arrangement in 60 days . Instead Trump broke the agreement because his ego would not allow Iran to appear to win even though the US had agreed the MOU. Now the war is back to square one but Trump has shown he does not really care about the cost to the world and the US. Iran will always have the ability to control the Strait of Hormuz. That is just a physical and unchangeable fact. The US and the world has to ACCEPT that at least for now and move on! If Trump had stuck to paragraph 5 the soldiers would not have been killed! Revenge is a poor motive to end a war.
@GMWTravelsI do not think Hegseth being unqualified for the role of Sec Def is the main issue. In my opinion it is the fact that Hegseth, like most of Trump's administration, is a deeply flawed individual. I would not employ him as a road sweeper.

The lives of the soldiers are a waste and should not have happened but america is not the victim here, you bred this culture, you made these laws, you coted in a dementing clown and you were OK with that.
Remember: Trump did not have authorization to stary this war, the army SHOULD have refused an illegal order, but they did it anyway and yeah, if you fight a war there is a chance that you'll die.
