I’m so glad that descendants wicked Wonderland is coming out next year. Gives me joy to say that descendants 4 was a fabulous movie

This movies isn't a very good message for kids. The queen didn't change her ways of her own volition, they literally altered the course of her life. The message is essentially, "If you can't control everything that happens to you then it's fine to be evil" rather than "you can't control what happens to tou, just how you react"

This 4th entry by director Jennifer Phang is so full of lush, vivid colors mainly the red color pallette
They also do a touching memoir to the late Cameron Boyce at the beginning
I really like Kylie Cantrall and Rita Ora perfectly fits playing this diabolical villainess
The songs aren’t very memorable like the previous films but have catchy tunes and lyrics
Bullies pick easy targets, it’s hard to be kind to everyone even when they’re not, some people just hate very nice people, do bad people believe they’re not actually bad?, one persons personality can change overnight after a bad experience, being good is more than just following the rules
The movie shows that people can be capable of change and we can have our own paths not like our parents
The ending feels like they wrapped up things too quickly and maybe some higher stakes would’ve helped
It’s not the best of the 4 films but still very enjoyable, full of bubble gum moments, has two very charming female leads, and is a worthy continuation of the series
Plus given that cliffhanger ending there might be more to explore given the time travel aspect
It’s the ‘Rise of Red’ indeed and ‘Descendants’ proves that Disney Channel can still deliver sweet, harmless entertainment

A 4/5 for me
