This match has the same energy as USO 2005 Federer vs Agassi. A rising star ruthless in his groundstrokes vs a veteran champ struggling in every point.

The sheer pace and intensity of Alcaraz was truly astounding …!!!!

The sad thing is that Alcaraz can play much better than this but this is pretty much all Djokovic has left in his career.

No he is not classy in defeat,..... he does not have a choice.... but to congratulate his opponent for beating him... I hope not to see him anymore.

And where is Djokovic's wife.... have not seen her for awhile. She got tired of seeing him suffer & loose?

@gigiskinner6054
@

Commentator stop making excuses for Djokovic... he wants to play right? He beat the other players up to this game.. no excuses for him?

@gigiskinner6054

Sit down Wilson.... he lost.... ha ha ha , straight sets

@gigiskinner6054
@

Commentators.. you are so wrong.... is that why Djokovic is frozen when carlos hits a winner.... he knows where Carlos will hit it? Please enough defending him. maybe he used to be...now he is just old & just has to give up & retire so he does not humiliate himself any longer.....

@gigiskinner6054

Carlos was definitely not at his best in this match but played the big points well when it mattered. Novak would have won against moet other players even though he wasn't as sharp as he was against fritz. decent match but not great tbh

For Djokovic to get the 25, Sinner and Alcaraz should be injured or withdraw from one of the slams, then he can grab it.

@affiebenezer2930

Novak did not put a single groundstroke into the court in that last game. Won 1 point off a missed return.
Alcaraz really did take Novaks legs, and at the end here, he also took his soul. No fightback of any kind from Novak. Third set was the worst he played all tournament, and he only got worse as it went on.

djokovic beat a lotof people in the past with his speed, He is nowhere near as fast as he was a couple of years ago. To his credit, he has modified his strokes and his have where he is striking the ball much cleaner, w more pace, and where he can end the rallies with shots that are laden with pace. It works with lots of players, but when it come to the two at the top, they don't have problems with it, one. Two, they know that if they returm emough of those heavy forehands and backhands, Novak will runout of oprions and it will be their turm to strike with pace. In a way, he is getting a bitter taste of his own medicine. He should ride the wave of being semifinalist until he can't get past roud 5 or the quarters and then call it a day. The purse money now is much larger, so couple of more years. Why not? Love to see him play with more precision.

If Novak lost 3 different of Major Grand slams , majority mean , He is running out of gas , is time to retire sir just like Roger F ; natural instinct , is telling you , your time is up , , you got your moments and nothing is stable every things is waiting to change

The epic shot 1:27:49 an inside out spinning away shot.

May never seen him playing on this court again! He looks like an amateur compares to Alcaraz.

@piloyvind1222

The commentators are ridiculous, trying to find excuses of age. But at the same age, Djoko would lose against Alcaraz.Djoko is certainly a champioin but Alcaraz is a magician. You can't strudy Alcaraz shots, they are unpredictable.

Novak trying to throw Carlos off with his “neck discomfort”. Punk

One weird thing Carlos does when plays Djokovic is that he consistently tries to wrong foot Novak and Novak doesn’t move, so Carlos hits right back to him 😂

Nole para mi eres el mejor

@El25deNoleee
@

I think it all heavily depends on serving accuracy. Nole used to be more precise in decisive moments where he would serve on T or wide in a way it wasn't returnable or it was an easy plus, and atp finals comes to my mind where he was serving the best in the semis and final. This one seemed given away by serving under his level.
