I would LOVE to get a job and be sponsored to come. But, it is said to come and visit first, before committing to live. Transportation not an issue for me. I would ride a bicycle. Ive already spent 7 years here in the U.S. in North Dakota, near the Canadian border. -40°F. I rode my bicycle year round. One year, crashed on the ice one Christmas Eve 😅. I wear a helmet. Catching a ride to town to go grocery shopping. A policeman stopped once and took me part way. Mostly Germans there (Catholic), with some Norwegians (Lutherans). And yes, the churches affect the culture.

There was one area in Norway that never was "christianised" but stayed "hedonic". The chieftains around Hamar was too powerful for the king so they agreed on leaving eachother alone. That`s why this area still today is known as Hedmarken

I'm seeing a lot of different ways to pronounce fjord. I say it as: fyoord.

So i feel like there's a lot of ways of saying it, even inside our own country.

Yes, please use the bus and train. Our cities are also very walkable. Work up your appetite and save money.^^ taxis are also more expensive on weekends.
