For the first time in 28 years, Norway returned to the FIFA World Cup, and the entire nation embraced the tournament with incredible passion. Football has always been deeply rooted in Norwegian culture. From professional stadiums in cities like Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Fredrikstad, and Bodø to small football pitches in remote villages surrounded by mountains and fjords, the game is played and loved across the entire country. Football is part of everyday life in Norway.

To bring everyone together, Oslo transformed Rådhusplassen (City Hall Square) into a giant fan zone with massive screens where thousands of supporters could watch the match completely free of charge. Families, friends, tourists, and lifelong football fans stood shoulder to shoulder, sharing every goal, every save, and every emotional moment together.
Then came the unforgettable finale - a 2-1 victory.

After Norway's historic victory, Erling Haaland appeared on the giant screen beating the traditional supporters' drum, and instantly the entire square came alive. Thousands of fans joined the famous Viking Row, rowing together as one enormous crowd. Wave after wave of supporters moved in perfect rhythm, chanting with pride and celebrating a night that instantly became part of Norwegian football history.

@vukvuletic6616I have a foreign background but I lived in Norway in 28 years now. I can say that majority of the Norwegians are football lovers and they like to celebrate in a big group. Even in their national day, It's always a big, national, very nice colorful, all- inclusive celebration. Young and old, men and women, etc. This is one of the reasons the " The Viking Row" arises and why many Norwegians came and are still coming and flocking to the U. S to where the world cup plays.
