1. First of all, check if your VPN account has no issues. To do that, go to nordvpn.com, click on My Account in the navigation bar at the top and log into your account.
yeah I think it's bout time to switch to a different VPN. I've been trying to get Nord to work for over a week now. Tried everything. Absolute garbage.
2. If you see that your subscription is active and your last payment was successful, that means your account is not the issue. Otherwise, contact our support by clicking on the floating widget at the bottom of the page or via email at support@nordvpn.com.
3. The next step would be to try and fix any issues you may have with your NordVPN application. One of the possible ways to fix a problem of this type would be resetting your app configuration using our Diagnostics tool:
These guys have NO IDEA what they are talking about. All you have to do is go to NordVPN Settings , go to Connection and change VPN Protocol to the one which works for you. The default recommended one did not work for me . THAT is the fix
3.1. Open our application and go to the Settings tab.
3.2. Scroll down the Settings list, click on Show Advanced Settings, and select “I know what I am doing.”

Who had the idea of putting the troubleshooting tool after the log in that requires internet connection?
The problem bugged out and destroy my pc's internet configuration. Now it can't connect to the internet anymore.

3.3. Scroll down to the Diagnostics section and click Run Diagnostics Tool.
3.4. In the opened window, select Reset NordVPN and wait for the process to complete.
hello when i download nordvpn it says code 12029 a connection with the server couldnt be established please help
4. If you are still having connection issues after that, try restarting the TAP driver, which is used to manage the VPN connection on your machine:
4.1. Click on Start and go to the Control Panel.
The first time I switch on my pc there is no internet connection at all(Nordvpn cant even log in), and I always need to restart it in order for it to work properly. Any idea or someone with a similar issue? Never had it before nordvpn.
4.2. Go to Network and Internet, proceed to Network and Sharing Center and select Change Adapter Settings on the left part of the window.
4.3. Find the adapter that has “TAP NordVPN Windows Adapter” written under its name, right-click on it, and disable it. Then, right-click again and enable it.
without a doubt the most unreliable vpn I've ever used. Seriously, what a scam these thieves are running. This is their strategy;
1) Make buggy, unreliable VPN
2) Spend a ton of money getting youtubers to advertise it
3) Offer a fake money back guarantee
4) refuse to honour the money back guarantee when customers request their money back
5) run away with all the money

5. One last thing you should try is flushing your network stack from some hanging configurations:

Nord VPN has the most annoying log in methods in the history of earth. Why does it take 1 hour just to login? Why does it constantly open a loop of the same browser just to log in?

5.3. Afterwards, please restart your computer and check if the issue still persists.

@beatle9398For anyone having the issue of being able to connect to the internet but not connecting to any websites on any browsers, what worked for me was to switch the VPN protocol in settings from NordLynx to OpenVPN (UDP).
Update: Typing in the commands at the end of the video fixed the problem entirely. Now it works with NordLynx as well. What a strange issue...
So under "Status" when it says "public network", this is okay? This is safe?
I had to reinstall my VPN on my laptop and when I did, it looked different on my laptop and my other laptop. Now when I hover over the wifi icon on my laptop, it shows my home wifi AND now it says "Unidentified Network internet access" .... but my wifi shows No Internet ... but the internet IS working. These changes happened on the two laptops that had the VPN installed

@DenzyFeedsThe issue that I am having is, I only have internet when I am connected to a server on the VPN. One night the TAP-NordVPN Windows Adapter V9 stopped working and was showing a "Network cable unplugged" error. I tried disabling and enabling that didn't work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, that didn't work. I even uninstalled and reinstalled NordVPN and that didn't work. I even tried all of the solutions on the video and that didn't work. I tried updating the driver but my computer said that I already had the latest version installed. I even reset the network settings on my computer and that didn't help. I have no idea what to do to fix the problem.

@sdasdasdasd1235So last night i got a message to update nordvpn after doing the update i was not able to connect to the internet. I had to log out and connect straight through my WIFi. How ever after playing around i notice if i select the kill switch it disables the wifi altogether. However i never had this issue before. So in order to connect to the wifi for internet use i had to leave to kill switch button off in order to get connection.. plz help

The chatbot actually was faster for me. I sent Nord a problem report asking why my update downloads were always crashing, they came back by email with do a complete uninstall/reinstall and when I connected and went to the internet it was Server Not Found on every tab.
That's when I disconnected, and went to the chatbot online. It asked the right questions. Turns out, on new installs, in the NordVPN settings, under Auto-Connect, the option to "Choose a VPN Protocol and server automatically" is defaulted to ON. As soon as you toggle that off, a selection box with three options appears: OpenVPN(UDP) / OpenVPN(TCP) / NordLynx (Recommended) - I tried each one and it turns out UDP and TCP work just fine for me, but the NordLynx (Recommended) did not. I am betting that when the option to "Choose a VPN Protocol and server automatically" is ON then behind the scenes it is going to NordLynx (Recommended) which turns out to be the one option that didn't work.
So I wrote back a response by email to the techs' problem report email and explained that. Their reply was to run a complete dump of all software installed on my machine so they could figure out which one was causing interference with their install. As if.
That chatbox was smarter than them. It should ask for a raise. 🤣 🤣 🤣

@thiranosaurusUse to be one of the best VPN service now it is the worst VPN service ever simply because it won't connect to any server when you want them to. Fix your goddamn service or else I am canceling my subscription and switching to ExpressVPN
