For some reason this restaurant never gripped me on my trips to Vegas. I absolutely love Ri Ra though and always go multiple times when I'm in town

Traditional Sheppard's pie, doesn't have ground beef. What did Sheppard's herd, sheep 🐑, so it's suppose to have ground lamb not beef.
@sharneekellalea4567Fish & Chips are more English than Irish, but everything else is Traditional Irish fare
@Detman329I love the nine fine.
Thank you so much for the video.
Yea once you pit malt vinegar on your fish which was way too much and for the chips. It makes the breading soggy.
@audreyangelbeck2682I am Irish and this is definitely traditional food. Yummy yummy 😋 😍
@chantelperez6006That’s English food, not particularly Irish.
@PeasenasWe ate there and it was mind-blowing I loved the carrots. I also got fish and chip's and the hubby had the Shepherd pie.I eat my fish and chips with malt vinegar is the best way to go. Our was made with lamb. I am 100% Irish.
@deborahnance5281Yes very traditional
@MarcellaPowersGreat review apart from the fog horn yanks talk shouting on the other table.
@markrigby7650I am of Irish descent. But I'm native Texan so I like am a spicy in your face kinda girl.
@susanwhite2466Irish food is not extremely spicy
@susanwhite2466I stay at New York New York when I go to Vegas and that is my favorite place to eat
@susanwhite2466The food you ate at NFI is Americanized Irish pub grub. It's nothing special, especially their fish & chips.
@paulconnors2078Why can't we see Catherine?
@johnponsonby2574Don’t pour liquid on fried fish and expect crispness
@debrahearn3759Yes , Irish food is more on the bland side
@debrahearn3759Ate hear last year, not that good
@andrewstewart9991Irish food isn't spicy.
@truth4004WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUS EYES
@dalew123456789Ya, fish and chips there just average now, few years ago they were alot better, they use to have a full lrish breakfast that was great, but l didn't see it on the menu?
@Rolf-lt8lzCan only suggest ..Never pour vinegar on batterd Fish..only ruins the crisp batter,turning it to sogggg!!..if you wish just touch fish in a vinegar side bowl like sata with Suchi..quick in & out..but great fish needs no ambassadors,the fish is the star..not the sauces..vinegar in very early times was used to hide/mask unfresh fish & meat / poor meat &
taste ..when refrigeration technology was v poor..put vinegar became part of the then preserving offering...& residual history...but so unneeded today..so as not to mask/hide real freshness / crunchiness of good fried fr
sh fish.. One only needs.A lp j little salt, fresh fish & light almost tempura batter..the best way....with a small squirt of fresh,preferably Sicilian Amalfie lemon on each bite not whole application..bit by bit if required..!!.Warm Wishes John Co.Tipperary Ireland.
No...Shepards pie needs to be more saucey via lamb or beek..like an Italian Lansange or Greek Moussaka..if cooked properly..2/3ds meat sause 1/3rd potato mash...what your eating looks so dry...needs the consistency of Bolognese!..with buttermash creamy potato upon..! Warm wishes John Co.Tipperary Ireland.l
@johnscanlon6977Shepards pie is lamb not beef hence shepard
@heathercrossman9490Love Shepard's pie and fish and chips
@billh6741That is how they serve the fish and Chips in the UK,I agree it’s all the toppings that made the fish soggy.
@stacyneuman8619I'm agreeing w/ everyone in the comments,the batter was soggy with all the lemon juice/vinegar poured on.
@naughtysauce4323I am Irish this more of a English food than Irish honestly but looks lovely
@CrazyBeard1Any Irish place that advertises Sheppard's pie made with ground beef on the menu is a farse. That's a Cottage Pie.
@rogercollins3man, they had really good pork chops! I miss that so much, wish they would bring it back
@dannythemedicThe atmosphere alone would be enough for me to have a beverage there, even though I would probably skip the food. Thanks Derek!
@intallpinesI have to agree, Catherine poured so much liquid onto her fish, how could it be crispy?
@luciad5988I'm Irish and I just made my first Shepard pie and it was delicious. I've never been to Ireland
@sheilaarp6453hey Dim-Wit Dereck! ...those three Irish foods are traditional 'English' foods!!!...you should have also sampled the 'black pudd' (blood sausage) --and 'man-up' by drinking Guinness stout!!...
@billwrigley5774And..24$for 2 fish..nope...rip off and not even crunchy. Y'all love Ramsay's fish n chips
@rebeccabaggett1829Isn't all that food served in English pubs?
@rebeccabaggett1829Is there a dress code here or is it just a good spot to chill etc...
@WaterlooMNI've been watching Derek's videos for some time now, and this was one of the worst stop overs. The fish and chips here looked decidedly average, and overpriced. The sausages appeared to be weak, soft and flavorless. In fact, every time I've tried 'bangers and mash' at an Irish pub, I've been disappointed with the low quality and taste. And finally, that so called shepherds pie looked underwhelming to say the least. Big swing and a miss. On a side note, we love having the fiance there to add her comments and help with the camera work! Love your show!
@joeherbert7555Malt vinegar on the fish is NOT a mistake. It certainly belongs there.
@mcbigj🤑🤑
@geronimocha7471Too bland? That's why God invented mustard.
@markshaw5038tiny portions for the price on the bangers and fish!!!!!!!
@aneimnThe bangers I think it's a German dish. Pot pie is traditional Irish dish . Fish and chips also Irish and English fare
@שולמיתרושThe only time I ever had shepherd’s pie was as a high school cafeteria food. BTW, the mist around in the vackground is water vapors for outdoor cooling which works only in dry climates and not humid cities on the east coast.
@charlesmilton296Not true shepherd's pie. Shepherd's pie has lamb, not beef
@chasandres6001I’m from Seattle—malt vinegar on the fish!
