NFL Player's Dark Warning For Future Football Players
Video Overview & Insights
Miami Dolphins corner back and NFL combine standout Byron Jones is warning young football players of the long-term health effects of playing football in the NFL. Rick Strom breaks it down. Give us your thoughts in the comments below!
If your response to this vid is their rich or they knew what they were getting into, you're a heartless clown. You lack compassion. Money can't fix a damage brain. That person is a prisoner of their mind. Rich former players have taken their lives because of their damaged brain.

This doesn't make any sense to me. The players know they are putting themselves at risk when they start playing at a young age. Do they know every EXACT detail of what COULD happen? No. Welcome to every dangerous job ever. They choose to put their body in harm's way to make a shit ton of money. Some people unfortunately get the shit end of the stick where they took an extremely hard hit to the head at some point. And thats really unfortunate. But they sign up for that. As far as the disingenuous doctors, thats bullshit. But they should have NFLPA-appointed doctors. Not team doctors.

It's a physical and dangerous sport and job. They know this just like the guy dealing with explosives whether in the military or bomb squad. Or if you are an Astronaut or a police officer going to work. News flash: No corporation really cares about their employees. They use you, you use them. You all drink the Koolaid until one day there's not enough sugar in it.

This is why they donāt want guaranteed contractsā¦! They want all the monies. This is why they donāt wanna pay Lamar Jackson to prevent other guys wanting guaranteed $$$.

Makes sense when machines came back after halftime on Super Bowl like nothing happen. For sure they got him juiced up

Players are employees of the team. ALL employees in America are considered expendable.
@joeminella5315Players need to stop trying to physically destroy each other on the field. The game can be played much safer if the players donāt try to blow each other up all the time.
@philipnorman7713I played d3 football and think we did a good job of balancing risk vs reward. Of course we knew that football was over for 99.999% of us after NCAA so we as players took less risk with our bodies. We truly had fun playing- I can only imagine the pressure d1 or even some d2 kids felt/feel
@mugandajeThis steel mill l did the same to me
@SHAFTMOSLEYListen this NOT NEW! All players Black or white are ENTERTAINMENT for owners in the sky box just like in the Roman Empire. The owners do not care, players are only entertainment.
Now if you donāt believe, research how Junior Seau died. What he did for research?
The lure of fame and money is strong. The truth is not being pushed hard enough by more former players to the younger ones. A 20 year old stud believes he is invincible. Some are finally realizing the sacrifice they must make to continue playing. But it is hard to give up what is possibly a large part of your identity as a person. And we all see what happens when you take a stand for yourself, or others. Stay strong gentlemen. Mentally as well as physically.
@holymotherofpearlDamn! Don't allow the NFL to ruin your long-term physical health.
@preciouslomack-perry4111I'm here at the VA hospital right now because of football. My body is broken because of football. If I had it to do all over I wouldn't play. I've even lost the the of the game.
@perrygibson8419Yes I agree with those guys. But at the end I still think in the last 20 years that NFL is doing a better job not perfect but better. But what these guys are not talking about how in High School that they was put back out there over and over with concussion over and over. And then in college. I think we need to continue to do more research on brain scans to detect problems before they get too bad. Like there should be a brain scan to check you to enter college. And a brain scan at the NFL combine. It will be like well the guy can run a 4.0 40 yard dash have a vertical of 48 inches and have a brain of a 80 year old.
@jonmitchell9019Go to HELL Goodell
@Chris_DiggityIf there wasn't a market for watching people give and sustain permanent injuries this could be improved.
@timkaldahlWhile the NFL has taken the necessary steps to protect the players, they haven't done enough. And they won't until they're forced to. A player's going to have to die on the field for that to take place. It almost happened with Damar Hamlin. Only a matter of time before a player doesn't make it.
@fudgematthew33That is why Trent Williams left the Commanders. He had a cancerous growth on his head that was ignored by the Commanders medical staff. I can see why the players don't trust the doctors. The NFL only cares about money. Not the well being of the players.
@BroncosCntryRoger Goodell is gonna go down ae
@nicolasvaldez8192Guillain Barre Syndrome from the shot?
@uslsuspectThe owners donāt give a flying f what your sacrifice here and now does to you in the futureā¦ā¦..Itās truth across the boardā¦..itās not a sentiment reserved for only the NFLā¦..
@wrenchwizzard68If certifed doctors are siding with team management vs. the well-being of the players, then they are clearly in breach of their Hippocratic Oaths.
@robertalker652Bruh do these people know if there is no more sport they gonna be out of a job. Why run stories like this? I am sorry for him but this is the path he chose and he knows how hard it is to play football. Not every player feel that way. Most of them will tell you they rather die on a football field.
@5starathlete804I had a really good friend of mine retire from the NFL thank God he retired with his š§ in tact
@amarcelousItās a choice and a game!
Why feel empathy or sympathy for people who chose their fate and then want to cry about it after theyāve reaped the benefits?š¤·š¾āāļø
Their mommies and daddies had them playing at young ages hoping and dreaming that theyād make it to the NFL.
Now they wanna cry a river after getting their brains shook, bones broken, ligaments damaged for decades yet they wonāt walk away simply because they enjoy the game and wealth of the very thing thatās killing themā¦.he says donāt take the drugs but the game itself is a drug! Thatās like a Junkie telling you how bad drugs are and not to do them while shooting up!
Either play or quit, but quit your belly aching because real people do real hazardous jobs EVERYDAY and sometimes theyāre injured or killed doing them.
And this is new news? We all know what's up. If you dont like it stop watching. Period, but people won't, so it continues.
@TheLochsEveryone knows this and people still watch. Everyone was worried about the bills player the had a heart attack but I think thatās bullshit. The players didnāt go out and finish that game not the nfl.
@shaun5497fugazi league....ran by the casino
@robertd7073Poor guys just wanted to play ballā¦little did they know, theyāre selling their souls to do it
@curranjohnson7489Kinda, like going to the VA. Its horrible.
@michaeltudda8462I have 0 sympathy for these NFL players they use you like A Stepchild When they are done with you you're done with you but you keep on playing you know what the Risk is all abut you still play so stop crying I don't want to hear You cowards stood idly by when a crucified colin Kaepernick So f*** y**
@bobbywilliamson5866Players are pu$$ie$ now.They wouldn't have made it back in the day
@jjjames6861Any Given Sunday anyone?
@tonynelson2443I told a friend a while back "One of my biggest regrets of high school was not playing football for 4 years". Learning about concussions and memory loss,I'm glad I didn't.
@goodbyeseeyalaterTackle football should have a legal disclaimer at all levels: āTackle football is detrimental to your health and cannot be made safe. Tackle football has been proven to cause concussions. Medical doctors advise you do NOT participate. Sign here indicating you understand this advisory: __________.ā
@jakemccoyThe owners donāt care about you. Weaponize your talent. They need you more than you need them. 70% of the players are black
@saints5597I guess they're called "team doctors" NOT "player's doctors" exactly for that reason.
@dearblabbywas it the vaccine? as well they made the nfl take that poison
@vitinlacend6402Tackle football should not exist. There is no way to make it safe.
@jakemccoyProblem is these guys all think they would be millionaires without football they got their education from football and still couldn't make that much money so chose to play NFL... they are in denial
@taintedgoochI feel horrible for these guys but they knew what they were in for when they signed their multi million dollar contracts. The owners certainly donāt care. Greedy vs. greedier.
@ricodog3652Letās not forget the impact the fans have on the game. The fans donāt care about player safety. The fans want to see big hits and really donāt care when players get hurt. NFL fans can be compared to the spectators at gladiator matches of the past.
@OrdinaryDude67Donāt play simple but yāall want to take millions you sold yourself just zip it donāt ruined the sport
@Joedirt2099The Gronk didnāt come back to Bradys call, he knew he was done, legs and knees where shot, he didnāt take the money, he said no way, some donāt walk away they get to go in a chair
@paulgreen758Thank you brother god for making us aware of this šš¾šš¾šš¾šš¾šš¾
@gadeyeye6268Players need to strike. All this talking aināt gonna do a damn thing. Hurt the bottom line of the league and they will be forced to listen. While I empathize with him itās clear that protests and statements arenāt pushing the needle
@DkvizuMoney can only fix so much. They just cant turn down those massive contracts. At least now a days kids will be exposed to the reality of the situation before it's too late.
@disco4535Anyone saying just don't play or people in other professions suffer too. That's the point if a company, organization or league knows the long term effects of their product then they should be good people and take care of those affected from using or participating said products
@seanlott4062We are way past rubicon on this issue. High school students are signing NIL deals. Weāve prioritized entertainment over everything.
