For Muslim countries, for example Algeria, you will often see green as in Islam it is associated with peace, growth, and spirituality. Also seen as a lucky colour.

Cabo Verde (Green Cape in Portugese and Spanish, but we'll say Portugese because they were a Portugese colony to begin with) is a country and also an archipielago on the coast of Africa, near Mauritania. The archipielago is considered part of the Macaronesia (together with the Canary, Madeira and Azores islands). They're also doing pretty well for themselves.
@YukoHoonI‘m not sure you can get the best impression when you only look at the jerseys. The trousers and the stockings are in most cases an integral part, especially when the bring in the missing color from the flag - for example France: blue jerseys, white trousers, red stockings.
@NoahEliasDennisCheap and tacky but sick!
@josephturner7569brace yourself guys, pretty sure we've got an "oooh nice adeeedus soccer uniform from eye ran there" on the horizon...
@WaffleCoffeeTVAussie and Brazil kits can be so similar.
@RenttaI like that almost every home kit has the modern brand logo of the outfitter and every away kit has the retro brand logo of it. Very cool detail.
@ballartist5061Curaçao shirt us a pale yellow (sunny island). Let me just clarify. 🇨🇼🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊
❤❤❤❤ YOOOUUUUU
The stars over the country's emblem are to signify the amount of times they won.
What I noticed from the shirts in a row was the different brands of sportswear. The "war of the brothers" of Adidas and Puma is interesting.
USA? FOR FUCK SAKE - THE FLAG AGAIN??? YOU REALLY HAVEN'T GOT ONE ORIGINAL DESIGN THOUGHT...
@AsgardianBroadyardJust to get a little perspective on another sport that you have no clue of? I'll just compare to NFL in American - that is American 'Football' - I'm talking about HANDBALL ... here goes:
* Total Casual Participants: ~200 million people worldwide
- Includes school physical education programs.
- Highly prominent in European school curriculums (e.g., Denmark, France, Germany).
* Registered/Licensed Club Players: 27 million to 30 million players
- Actively registered across more than 200 countries.
- Traditional indoor handball accounts for roughly 65% of competitions.
- Outdoor and beach variants make up the remaining 35%.
- Gender Split: Highly popular with women; ~42% of European players are female.
- The Danish men have been an absolute dominant force in international handball in recent years. A breakdown of their major
tournament victories includes:
European Championship (EHF EURO): February 2026 (Gold), and previously in 2012 and 2008.
World Championship: 2025 (Gold), 2023, 2021, and 2019.
Olympic Games: 2024 (Gold) and 2016 (Gold)
In comparison - American football:
There are roughly 5 to 6 million registered American football players worldwide, with the vast majority participating in the United States across youth, high school, and collegiate levels - COMPARED TO 200 MILLION PEOPLE PLAYING HANDBALL!!!
Will the US and FIFA allow the World Cup to proceed normally, or will they continue to bar or deport participants like the referee from Somalia? Will they continue to prevent fans of different teams from entering? If they're going to behave like this at a World Cup, they shouldn't have started this whole thing in the first place. Besides wanting to profit from tickets and accommodations, and without having the infrastructure properly prepared... it would be better to stay home. Let's hope they at least allow journalists and television crews to watch the football, which seems to be a secondary concern. May the best team win (if they let them).
@anacado2187Pro-tip regarding Czechia's Lion it has ties with Scotland, If you put both the Czechian Lion next to the Scottish Lion Rampant they are almost identical except for the tail. Then when you look at the Senegalese Lion, Swedish Lion, Spanish Lion, Belgium's Lion and even Luxembourg's Lion all are extremely similar except for one difference in each. And it all comes down to Medieval heraldry.
So us Scots will be cheering on with our Heraldic friends out there. Let the Lion Rampant roar!
As a Turkish fan, I liked Germany Home and Spain Away kits the most. As for our kit, they took inspiration from Paper Marbling aka Ebru which is a traditional art style in our culture, and for the away kit, they just copy-pasted the same design... and tbh Adidas always makes the most iconic kits. We got scammed about away kit, our corrupt politicians won't even care tho.
@KenanUqeI think Austria is supposed to be marble
@Bioshyn"Soccer" jerseys are absolutely comfortable because they're made out of a very lighweight and soft fabric.
To me the Austrian away kit looks a bit marmoreal and I really like it
I love the classic adidas logo. It's so beautiful. It's my 10th FIFA World Championship and I think the African and Mexican kits are always the best loooking ones.
Cabo Verde are an archipelago on the northwestcoast of Africa, colonized by portuguese seamen.
And the original home kit from Haiti was forbidden by the FIFA because it showed a battle scene.
France's away jersey is not white. It is a shade of oxidized copper green, chosen exclusively this year to evoke the color of the Statue of Liberty and Franco-American friendship.
@steiphwebThe USA home uniform... Very prison style!
@barrygerritsen7053I like the Belgian home kit best out of all the uniforms. (I like the Japanese insignia best though.) A bit of a shame how out-of-fashion Umbro seems to be these days - feels like Nike is doing a bit of a Wal-Mart in getting teams to switch over to them for money over aesthetics or pride. Glad to see so many countries sticking with Addidas and Puma, at least.
@seijika46About the home and away kits, as far I was told long long ago, the reason the away kit is so different was due to B&W TV. Thus the kits had to be able to have perfect contrast... otherwise you watching at home on your B&W TV couldn't tell the difference. (don't know if it's true or not, but made sense back then, so I didn't questioned it). Also you don't want your team mates to pass the ball to your opponent because you mistook the colour jerseys.
@HackerJac-cs7ioThe Cote D'ivoire home kit reminds me of European orange Fanta compared to the US chemical orange Fanta
@garyowens3698Big shoutout to my Cabo verde brothers. We got a huge cabo community here in the netherlands. There's a community in Boston as well..and Portugal
Curacao kit is yellow
Most Players in The Premier League are from mainland Europe and South America. So when the World Cup is on. We end up playing against a lot of team mates in our local teams.
@karlmcgowan-g1n9nI would either wear Englands or Scotlands as my Dad was From Glasgow. Ian you’re wearing Paraguay’s Colours.
@karlmcgowan-g1n9n4:45 OH yeah jerseys are super light and breathable the best feel like you are wearing almost nothing and when they get wet during heat they are so nice and cool. But there are basically 3 levels to the jerseys you can buy. You can buy the most expesive match jersey that is light you can usually even see throught it (thus not good for fans at all, only those who want to show their bodies) then the second level is basically same light material but less breathable parts and little more heft to the material to cover more and then the third level which is just basically a cotton/elastic shirt for the fans
@JanHejnIan check out Canada's home kit again. The different shades of red form a maple leaf on the whole of the front of the shirt.
@peterward1698I may be biased, since Sweden is my big brother to the East, but I love every single thing about their away shirt. Gorgeous blues, and the subtle but also somehow popping pattern. Cudos to whoever designed this thing! 🇳🇴
But you know the drill, brother: We WILL end up above you on the final list, or die trying! 😂❤
Belgian away kit is a homage to the artist René Magritte
@DaveCrokaertMexico away is cool, old school vibe also with the old Adidas logo... very nice
@cutshitz4513ahahah you have the ass-thong-shirt🤣
@cutshitz4513Cabo Verde is an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean
@rivadestraDo you watch the games ?
@pim1234As a German, I love our white Jersey, and don‘t like the away jersey at AT ALL.
Unfortunately, I know exactly why the designers chose 1 jersey without any National identifiers….
Because the lefty football fans wouldn‘t want to wear a jersey with our National flag on it 😭
But at least our white one with the black shorts will look amazing, and it‘s a nod to Rudi Völler‘s time where Germany was really a great team.
I do prefer the German brand design styles from Addidas and Puma, but the Italian ones are very pretty to wear as a fan. More fashion than sport shirt
It's not adeeedas !!!
You got Puma correct by saying pooma, but Adidas needs revision.
https://youtu.be/yjsSQZynnfQ?is=MhyKVnAUo4Ji0we0
I think that after the WC Americans are going to like soccer more then American Football
@pim1234You have to look at Japan’s home jersey full screen I think you’ll like it a lot more
@ohk_denA lot of the jerseys have subtle designs, mostly the flags.
Take a look at Canada's jerseys again, the maple leaf is there on both.
I love Norway's two jerseys, but as a Dane, I am partial and sadly not in the World Cup 🫤
Brazil & Argentina's jerseys will never get old, they are eternal classics 👌
hello from Denmark 🌸
Le maglie delle nazionali di calcio rappresentano la bandiera del loro paese con i colori del loro paese. I simboli le stelle che vengono messe in evidenza rappresentano le vittorie nella Coppa del Mondo.
@legioaeternavitrixKITS not UNIFORMS !
The " home" shirts are based on the national colours of each country.
You're wrong about the Scotland away kit. It is gorgeous. I have it and it's a bright pink red colour. You'll see.
@DonaDonaZCanadas away kit looks like a teenagers bed sheet under UV 😂
@tomski120I could hear the Germans screaming at the pronunciation of Adidas on the Germany shirt 🤣
@davebirch76The Egypt away kit....... well, I can only guess. But you said you don't know what the subtile pattern was. Imho it looks like pyramids, and that would make absolute sense.
@HerzschreiberOf course the away shirt is totally different to the home shirt, that's the whole idea m 😉😆
@davebirch76The USA soccer Dress is nice. until you see it from the back. I don't know who decided to put a big white cutout in the back that goes to 3/4 of the back and then connect the stripes again. It looks weird as if there was a white sticker across the entire back. For me personally, it visually ruins the back.
