The engineers didn't use the steam whistles to reduce the pressure in the boilers, they had, instead dedicated steam pressure blow over valves on the boilers with discharge lines leading up to the top of the funnels. It was the massive escape of steam though those lines that caused the roaring noise. The whistles were in fact designed to use the least amount of steam as possible. It was also only the most forward funnel that had the whistles attached. While the titanic had four funnels it was only the three forward funnels that were real. The aft funnel was primarily for visual effect. It did carry the exhaust from the galley cookers and it also provided ventilation to the centre turbine room.
One marine engineering theory as to why the stern section is so badly damaged is that because the forward section was already full of water when it sank there were no issues with internal pressure differential and therefore it is in good condition. It is thought that when she broke her back the stern section dropped back level with the sea for a few moments but the forward section was still partially attached, that weight overcame the reserve flotation of the aft section and in effect dragged the aft section down below the sea, the aft section, still having a lot of internal air pockets then imploded as it sank further into the depths. These massive implosions cause the final split causing the two main sections to go their own separate ways. This also explains the high debris field of items that originated primarily from the aft section.

I'd love you to do a video on why Jack Thayer sketch of the break up in 1912 isn't seen as a realistic version of events. As we all know from movies and theories why his sketch has been disproved as plausible way it broke up.

As a Nova Scotian when I was younger whenever a ship went down, especially a fishing boat, we never used any part of that to further our own ends. I have seen family s devastated from ship sinkings. Where the family bread winner went down with the ship and the family suffered profoundly.
I see people using the Titanic wreck to make money and get views on you-tube it saddens me to think of all those who lost kinfolk on the ship. We should all stop obsessing about the Titanic, the passengers deserve peace. I encourage people to visit the graves in Halifax and say a prayer for the souls who went down with the ship.
Please give the dead a chance and leave the Titanic alone.

fresh water tank?? - NOPE!! - its the single contact water heater for heating feedwater from the condensers up to near boiling point before it was forced back into the boilers. it used live steam to heat the condensate. - i also noted that torn off low pressure cylinder parts (note the giant forged, special steel connecting rod bent like spaghetti!!!) were referred to as parts of the turbine 'low pressure cylinder' - it was a turbine, it had a casing, not a cylinder!!!. using whistles to vent steam??? - JST NO!!! - the tube shown is a lead up the funnels from the safety valves and also dump valves to reduce boiler pressure if needed. the colossal noise was the live steam being vented to atmosphere trough these pipes; as the fires were white hot from its high speed run and all this energy had to be dissipated until the fires could be drawn - quite a few boobs in this presentation!! it was interesting tho!! 🙃😉😊

And the professionals on Titanic that survived lied and said the ship didn't break in half, and they were believed over by the survivors that said, Titanic broke in half before sinking to the bottom of the ocean.

I saw that older guy on antique road show,maybe taking and pricing a titanic menu tucked behind a painted picture of the titanic,I remember him telling the woman that owned the menu$100,000.

Didn't you guys see the thing that showed they only managed to get 19 of the 20 lifeboats aboard launched? The davits for the 20th one were still in the cranked-back position. They rebuilt a rig and timed how long it took to get a lifeboat launched this way, I think it was 23 minutes or thereabouts, so doing the math of the sinking it checked out.

Right at the start when he said that the rib's of the outer hull is eaten away and thats why its all exposed, well that's totally wrong, as the rear end was floating downwards the exposed hull section were pulled apart and forced backwards and thats why they look like they do and its got nothing to do with rust, otherwise we would see so much rusticals on it, but we dont and these scans are very accurate, like were talking about mm in precision scans.
also if you look at the items on the seafloor, especially the boilers the rust is all around the outer impact craters were the fell and hit the seafloor, how can that be, they would have had a good coating of heat resistant paint on the bolers, so why is the rust color on the outside of the impact crater of every single boiler. ⚓🦘✌👌
