@byteme911I've been telling everyone not to get on those plans & stay on straight Medicare. My sister was in the Army & she couldn't get medicare or VA to pay for her to go to a nursing home & she was deemed incompetent!

@halclayton3048We are Americans who retired to Portugal. My wife broke her femur just like that man who was denied physical therapy beyond the 2 weeks approval by United Healthcare. After the surgery, my wife put her name on the list to obtain physical therapy through the free at point of service public health system. In the meantime, she used our private insurance, which just kept approving her visits for as long as she needed care. My wife was paying 30 euros a visit through the private insurance. Then after about 3 months, she was called to go over to the public hospital for continuous physical therapy. She treated there for another 6 months at no cost. Here they treat you until you are better. It's not about cost. Yes, we pay more income tax here, but you get way more value than what you pay in taxes. Beautiful streets, parks, good healthcare, manicured towns, etc.
