It's so interesting your taste is all pre 80s movies

Usually people have a touch stone from their childhood they hold dear too (for me it was Jackie Chan's armor of God (released a few years before my birth) but you picked ones that were way before you were born :)

I am no movie buff but my current list:
1. 2001 A Space Odyssey - This movie was released in 1968, it's a very cerebral movie that makes you want to explore further. And I did...
2. Amadeus - Absolute brilliant performances here, specially F. Murray Abraham portraying Salieri.
3. The Last Emperor - This is an amazingly well made biopic about the last emperor of China, Puyi. It's a very interesting and tragic tale.
4. Cinema Paradiso - This movie is a touching look at the life of a film director and his path through childhood to adulthood. You see the many relationships he experiences.
5. Boogie Nights - It's such a well made film that explores adult film industry in the 70s and the performances are excellent.

Not even close my favorite movies of all time but is kinda refreshing to see people today admiring directors like Herzog, Peter Weir, Tobe Hooper and Robert Altman. I love that.

I’ve only seen 1 of your 5. As a movie and film fan that fact is a bit embarrassing. I’ve seen 3 Woman. Loved it. Challenged me. Never seen it since. It’s time to challenge myself. I mean how many times can I watch Jaws?

Jaws (it doesn’t make a single misstep). Rosemary’s Baby (terrifying, bonus: Cassavetes character possibly worst human ever)
Station Agent (love small movies, unconditional friendship is a topic that melts my heart)
