Hey Sir! I’m writing from India and wanted to share a major win with you. I just got my IELTS results back: 7.0 overall with a 7.0 in Writing—on absolute zero preparation.

To be honest, before the exam, I checked my rough writing on a few AI grading bots and they all rated me around a 4.0 or 5.0, which had me sweating. But during the test, I just relied on natural fluency and your videos on essay openings and vocabulary.

I completely threw out the standard 2-body-paragraph template and wrote 3 body paragraphs instead. I even crossed 370 words and had to aggressively cut it down to 340 on the spot! Despite breaking the 'usual rules,' your tips gave my arguments the exact edge they needed. Thanks for the killer content—it literally saved my score!

Hello Eli, first things first, thank you an awful lot for your lesson! You’re second to none! I’m not an Ielts student whatsoever, but those idiomatic expressions are equally useful for any English learners. I believe, we go hand in hand in order to improve our ability to communicate effectively with people around the world and be understood by them. In addition, we need to strike a balance between keeping an open mind and being respectful to others. Those ones are the key to success, even if we have to go out of our comfort zone sometimes. In the long run, it will unable us to get the hang of it and become better version of ourselves. But for some of us, especially for shy people, it’s a real challenge to overcome our fears of public performances as well as personal communications. Ultimately, it comes down to our self-esteem and inner perception, I guess. Well, at the end of the day, it’s up to us either give up or get carried away with English and progress toward our goals.

I couldn't get the score I wanted , I feel so depressed because it didn't reflect my knowledge. 😭

Any of my phrases are memorized because I am not a native speaker. IELTS decreases your score for using expressions like "it's raining cats and dogs." Nonsense. The IELTS exam has completely discredited itself. It is better to choose a different type of exam.

Hi Eli, I’m taking my ielts test in around a week, i wanna ask you a question related to idiomatic expressions. Sometimes i am not fully aware of whether the phrase i’m using is an idiomatic expression or not, so will i get a decrease in my score due to the lack of idiomatic expressions?

These idiomatic expressions are really essential and crucial for speaking, even though it's beneficial for writing. A big thank you, Sir.
