I think this is a good religious movie cause it shows how even if you don't believe in God you can definitely see how much he means to people who believe, Will enforce wouldn't have been able to abolish slavery without the help of God, it just woulda never happened. God gives us something to live for even when we don't even want to live. We understand our minds are flawed because we have sinned even if we believe in God nothing will be perfect on this earth, but God will always be a pillar no matter the situation you find yourself in.
