Just so ya know, Franklin no longer has that small town feel. My sister lives there & she says the traffic is akin to Nashville!

This is a great video! I am planning to move in about 3 years once my youngest is 18 and Tennessee is number one on my list. I'm looking for that Dollar General town where I can get away from everything and have my small farm. This is the best information I've gotten on all areas of Tennessee.

We have enough people that have moved here because they refused to stand up for themselves or what they believe in.
This is the Volunteer state and is becoming the runaway and hide behind a Tennessean state.

When you mispell "Tennessee" in the photo, that's a COMPLETE TURNOFF. Buh-bye.

actual reasons not to move to nashville tn from someone who does not financially benefit from your decision:
1. discrimination is prevalent & if you stand up against it, you face consequences. I've seen discrimination on all protected categories except religion. the Americans with disabilities act is optional. people are intimidated against reporting sex harassment. you will be viewed and treated based on your race and people will be so satisfied to conduct themselves this way.
2. "nice" behavior is actually manipulative and passive aggressive. there are many unspoken rules of niceness which you learn from trial and error and it's disgraceful. "southern hospitality" tends to fade after you sign a contract.
3. less consumer protections in TN than in NYC or CA. it is terrifying realizing what I lost in this area.
4. tornados are not a fucking quick note or glide-over topic. these natural disasters kill people and destroy everything you put your life savings into.
5. "affordable" homes are actually poor quality and you'll be tied to a city that is culturally ignorant because it ignores ethnic value. trying to find my culture's food has been so challenging and I wish I never knew the feeling of someone acting like my cultural food was so strange.

Anyone looking for Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Costco should move back to California. It's Food City, Dollar General and Rural King out here.

Alas, the only thing you can do to a perfect place is make it less than perfect. If you must come, keep Tennessee green...bring a bunch of Money šŸ’µ! We are rapidly losing what makes us desirable to an influx of people fleeing their undesirable place and now ruining ours.

We are Canadians looking to flee the crazy liberals that have been destroying our country for the last 15 years. Tennesse was one of our choices but then chatGPT told us that the crime rate is super high there. Is it true or not?

Time zones should also be considered. Nashville (middle) is central time zone and it gets dark at 8pm on July 4th.... If you like long summer nights, move to Eastern Tn or Eastern time!

So I’m not your client target since I’m only looking to rent I currently live in Bethesda Maryland, which is 10 minutes out of DC. I want to be where there is a good walk score and access to top of the line healthcare and I’m looking to keep my rent around $1500 a month. Is this even doable? I hope I hear back! Oh also I’m single and I’m in my 50s and I would love to meet some ladies and preferably a nice Christian conservative man.

Cookeville has a hospital and now Target and Home Depot are coming. We've had Lowes and two Walmarts for ages. We've got more than 100 restaurants, not counting fast food. We have Sam's Club.

Don’t move to Knoxville. We are full. Traffic is a problem now. We don’t like outsiders as we remember what life was like here before we were inundated. šŸ˜‰

Hi. We are currently looking in the Watauga Lake and Chatuge lake areas.
We’re definitely looking for the Walmart / Costco type areas.
Would you recommend either one of these over the other?

Don’t move to Memphis. If you have to take a job in Memphis, live in north Mississippi or way out east of Memphis.

Plan on moving to TN from NY, IL, OR, WA, or CA please don’t! I get it! It is too expensive in your state, but we don’t want your BS policies to follow you! There is a reason why TN is great! Your state and failed policies are not it!

Hi, we plan to relocate from a small town in Colorado with lots of outdoor activities (a beach lake, fishing hiking, skiing, camping and mountians)3 months of full seasons and lots of sun! (Yes even in the winters) lots of amenities (a Target, Marshalls town) A wonderful church (but even those are getting harder to find unfortunately) a great small airport (10 min away) and wonderful healthcare. Its not as big as Costco town (yet) With a hallmark feel our nearest city (with a Sam's Club) is an hour away with nothing in-between and i mean nothing! We live in a community of custom homes with emaculuate yards and landscaping but can do without the golfing. You may ask,
Sounds like the perfect town, so why move? Well, we are retired & getting priced out and politics are shifting big time! (We have conservitive values) and this shift is effecting more than you can imagine. We are looking into Tennessee with the same type of topography & lifestyle (for the most part) with more conservative & Christian values with all the above and maybe more...we are not city folk so, We're leaning more east Tennessee. We plan to sell our home here and explore in the summer of 2026 any suggestions? Thanks for reading!

In Fairfield Glade is there enough medical care for seniors in the area? Doctors/Specialist's. Hospital? Dentist? Chiropractor etc.

@michaelroy925
@

No. We are full. S.T.F. OUT!
Here are your four steps:
1. Cease to be a coward. Stop running from your problems....
2. Become more active in the isht hole you currently live in(that you most likely helped ruin) that is compelling you to come and ruin Nashville.
3. Fix said ishthole back to what it was before you and your neighbors ruined it.
4. Enjoy your remodeled community, w/o ruining ours.
