What stands out to me isn't just the singing—it's the mindset of Brits. The rude and arrogant attitude of both the contestants and the judges is fascinating. It almost feels like it's part of the British culture. The judges often come across as primary school teachers who think they have unlimited authority to belittle or humiliate their students. At the same time, many of the contestants seem completely detached from reality, as if they've landed from another planet and have no idea how far off they are. Having lived before in Britain I have seen the same combination of arrogance at the top and delusional overconfidence below doesn't seem to be limited to music—you notice it in plenty of other areas as well.
