most recognizable song each year of the past 100 years (2024 version)

Video Overview & Insights

Updated list of the most recognizable song from each year of the past 100 years. Release dates based on the single release date. No Christmas songs or children’s songs because those would take up every slot, blah blah blah I’ve made this video 50 times go read the description on those instead.

The 80s will be remembered as the absolute best decade for pop music and the 90s for rock/metal.

Beginning good. Real. Real love and people relationships. :) Ended though by cartoon kids, mostly boys dancing together instead of co-ed, barely audible , fantasy land stuff, one tossing around a fantasy laser crucifix ...but a just arrest by police while she asks for flowers with a smile on her face lol. Jesus Christ help us all, and I mean that, this is your earth and your precious ones. You did not die in vain.

As a '91 baby, I stand by the objective fact that the 70s and 80s were the peak of music. Yes, there has been plenty for great music as we understand it these days (yes, I'm acknowledging the cavemen that certainly had some great bangers that they just didn't have the technology to record) but I honestly believe that the 70s and 80s are where the best musical spirit lives.

Watching the 80 to early 2000 I wish regular MTV would come back on basic network TV the amount of music I was exposed to made me much better person. And also so much better times. Future was hopeful now it just looks like we are going deeper to cyber punk dystopia. I wish that when all the old slimy cnts and their billionaire cronies drop dead world starts healing and being hopeful again.
