00:00 Most Efficient Way for Women to Train for Longevity

02:01 The Importance of Protein

This is so helpful as for a woman who has been facing issues w menstual cycle. got even closer to getting pcos as my cycle was irregular due to less sleep and poor diet. So now ive been wanting to start exercising and take is seriously. i always manage to get off track because i eat out alot. even tho im at good weight and my bmi is fine too, still my weight has been fluctuating. To combat symptoms of pcos, ive been tracking all my meals and food. and its been really helpful.

Christ, all those exercises sound awful. Definitely sucks the joy out of working out if this is what we "have to" do!

Pelvic floor muscle weakness or Pelvic organ prolapse which is common in older women, can they do jump training/ heavy resistance training?

So tired of “experts” pushing protein. Protein alone does NOT produce muscle. I’m a vegan now for 20yrs. Mid 60’s and due to a lot of stress the past few years, I wasn’t eating right, lost too much weight and a lot of muscle. 1 year later, I’ve gained so much muscle and strength I’m shocked. I did NOT increase protein. All I did was water aerobics 4 hours a week and power walk/distance walking/hike 4-5 miles and just recently have added resistance machine training. Added in Yoga periodically. No jumping, no sprint circuits, no HIIT, etc. Video is disappointing.

Does Rebounder (mini trampoline) exercises count for “jumping exercise?”

Most efficient way to train if you're over 50? If looking for longevity she says: 1) Jump training 10m 3x's p/w to improve bone mineral density 2) Heavy resistance training 3) Sprint interval training 4) More protein-1 to 1.1 grams per pound
Younger women: 1) "Make things fun" to maintain physical health 2) Resistance training "then you can do other things."

the recommendations in general for protein is 1 gram of protein per pound of IDEAL body weight. So if you are striving for 120 lbs while training, eat at least 120 grams of protein - just try to get 40 grams at least 3x/day to hit that target - not hard. Protein first

Jumping would be dangerous for some people if they are obese, got balance issues, etc… why not Chikung or qigong practice or walk? It is safer …and you also got a “jumping” section at the beginning of the practise

I just started this type of interval training and I am drained the next day. After reading the comments I now feel better about how I feel. Its "normal" to feel tired.

I wanna add something as a biginer. we often think we need to do like 10 mins of workout. again I am talking about a very biginner. I was not able to do jumping jacks for more than 30 secs.. yea you heard me right. so I didn't bother doing it at all cause I felt embarassed.I had period cramp issues, focus issues,, low energy all the time,,muscle pain..btw I am 19. but I left the feeling aside,,finally,, started from 30 secs. I do short bursts of sessions several times a day,, eat clean..I can do full 5 pushups at once now.. for a girl like me,, it was once unimaginable to do even one full pushup.I am on my periods right now,, I didn;t have to take any pain killers, I have high focus for my study,,good lifted mood,, good energy level,., lower stress level.. It was an amazing decision to do short period exercises..

@Kayhudson555

As a certified vegan nutritionist, I really appreciate that she countered you by saying it doesn't have to be animal protein. I'm really disappointed that you, being one of the smartest people I've ever listened to, are still so dense about nutrition. Telling people to get their protein from "eggs chicken and steak." is just wrong. Especially since you are a man sitting here trying to tell women over 50 that they need eggs, chicken and steak every day. WTF?

I hate to break it to you, but all protein comes from plants. ALL PROTEINS COME FROM PLANTS! Animals are literally the middle man, and you are literally filtering your nutrients through another beings bodily system before you consume it. That's disgusting. Why don't you just go straight to the source? Whole Food plant based resources that are not only more nutritional, but also pack more protein per volume. Not to mention you're skipping over all of the hormones, pesticides, and antibiotics. And let's not forget the most important thing… When you choose to go plant based you're willingly choosing to stop contributing to the ongoing animal holocaust. We don't need meat to survive and we don't need meat for protein. Period the end.

Tried all the hacks. ice baths, preworkouts, even dopamine detoxes. none of it clicked. I felt so tired everyday. then someone dropped Testosterone Rewired by David Brooks in a comment and I checked it out. been locked in ever since. no hype, just clarity. wild how long I was running on fumes.🔥
