A number of countries have updated their travel advice to the United States in the wake of a crackdown on immigration by the Trump administration. Travelers have reported being detained at the US border, even though they had valid travel visas. Germany updated its travel advisory for the US this week after a number of its citizens were detained at customs and then deported.

@javieron7272Be very careful if visiting ths U.S.. Specifically, be very careful of cops and those pretending. Know your rights and when you can and cannot use them. Always have your paperwork, lock your phone with PIN rather than face ID and know several contacts in the area case the worst happens. Remember, the more travel companions you have with you, the safer you are.

What right do they have to search someone's phone? Detain a person for more than 24hours? When these tourists have legal visas. Isn't the USA like North Korea now? Avoid the USA like the plague.

Never trust any single source news company, that is left oriented. I am a Green Card holder for over 40 years and have friends, family and colleagues come and go from Europe without a single word of complaints. If you have a record or you officially trash America, you might be under the radar.
If you don't like the States, stay at home and avoid any conflict.
