I now have a 27” 4K LG monitor 60Hz. And started sim racing, so now looking at the LG UltraGear 37” 800a-b 165Hz with a 1000R curve. I like my current monitor but it’s to small so I want a bigger one. Can I use the new one with displayport for gaming and use the “old” 27” via HDMI for photo editing on the same pc?

What about 1080p at 32 inches? I don't need the most sharp looking thing ever. It would be a secondary monitor for watching anime, YouTube videos, etc.

regarding vrr:
VESA Adaptive Sync is the same as AMD Freesync Premium (/Premium Pro) and NVIDIA GSYNC Compatible. NVIDIA GSYNC (/Ultimate) has in-built vrr (done by the monitor). Freesync Premium Pro and GSYNC Ultimate are just marketing terms for other things such as HDR.

Hi Tech Chap! Thanks for this review video, it's really useful. You mentioned that you would keep the links below up to date, but I'm not sure when you last did this - some of them seem to be no longer available. Would you be able to update with your latest recomendations?

@IroncateeHey Tom! I use a Lenovo Legion (Ryzen 7, RTX 3070, 32GB RAM) for design work with good color accuracy, movies, and casual story-based gaming. Looking for a 27" 2K monitor—unsure on refresh rate. Worth paying extra for USB-C or stick with DisplayPort?
@pranoymehra2150Sir I’m confused like fr ok so I have a regular laptop nd I’m finna get a monitor how can I use the monitor for gaming since the laptop is not a gaming laptop
@nolovecapaWas hoping you would talk about whats recommended for Divinci😮.
@davidpoo66I disagree about size. I use a 16 inch 3k OLED and it’s the best monitor I’ve ever seen
@ILoveGrilledCheesemhm
@HaterExclusivelynice video, brother!
@CharlineMedlinHow do I change my fps on a ps5?
@psnPrjct_UnKnownThis is a "click bait" video, waist of your time from a scammer !!!
@AlMe-j4h9dThere is much trash talk about buying monitors with DisplayPort connections. I have, over the years, used all types of monitors for gaming, business, and video editing. The data streams with HDMI 2.2 vs Display[port 2.1 is noticeable enough to me. My DisplayPort connections are super speedy without any issues, whereas my using several data streams with HDMI tend to occasionally bottleneck and cause "cross talk" in my videos, and occasional clicks in my music creation streams. So buying a top quality monitor with DisplayPort should be considered. I am a Certified audio-visual tech with several decades of experience. At age 70 I can still see and hear fine details.If you have good eyes and ears, trust me, you CAN notice the difference and for me it is like the icing on a cake.
@IsanaDasUSAMay I ask what you would suggest for a 20 inch screen for home use budget? No gaming but some creative work.
@rocio2917He seems to only be referring to "gaming" - what about those of us who are not gamers and mainly use the computer for social media such as Facebook, and so on? We don't need all the bells and whistles.

@peachybunny79My gpu is 1080p so should i buy 1080p 25inch or 1080p 27 inch monitor?
@RidgeTheStickAnd a preacher said " If you monitor me, you die " he said it not because he has a divine power, but his rally on dark police and he has enough money to pay boys so as to carry out some activities.
@OFORLESAMSONThanks for the great video! Do I need to match my graphics card output to my monitors refresh rates to get the most out of it?
I mainly play multi table poker and web browsing. Should I match the refresh rates?
I currently have rtx 3050 and I would like to get an Oled monitor 32" inch 4K
I'm looking to buy a monitor for colour grading and editing are these still relevant in 2025?
@hcatechtalkThe only frame I need from this video is paused at 18:35.
@n085fsI laughed well and good at the thought that you think I'm watching this on a 1080p screen.
I'm still using native 1360x768 on an AMD HD 5500 series GPU.
My pc is screaming to have the cord finally cut to be let loose.
Don't be a school bus driver if you need $. My 2024 tax return shows I brought home $19k.
I'll try to put aside my biases, but seeing a curved screen on your desk at the very beginning of the video (I paused at 0:10 to type this) makes me want to not even waste my time with your opinions.
@n085fsAnyone who plays RDR2 I trust their judgment completely. Thanks I took notes before buying my screen for work/gaming.
@ShailMehta-h2jI'm a vtuber under the username ArnouVT but my monitor setup is starting to impact my health in the form of headaches and neck pain because of the angle I have to have my neck at to view my secondmonitorso I am thinking about getting a new monitor that is bigger than what Ihave now I'm thinking about the Dell UltraSharp U4924DW 49" 5K2K Curved UltraWide Monitor, the Samsung 49" Odyssey G9 G95C DQHD 240Hz Gaming Monitor or the Samsung 55" Odyssey Ark 2nd Gen G87NC 4K 165Hz Gaming Monitor what would you recommend I will need four to five windows open on the monitor at a time for my streaming software and the preview of each platform I will be streaming to I stream Nintendo Switch, Xbox and Playstation and sometimes PC games
@jpg334Hey can you use a monitor without connecting to anything and just use it as it?
@cycyissigmaBurn in an image retention are not the same thing. Why did you use them interchangeably?
@Firestorm2056Thanks. Very useful! Find this very confusing, but your video helped a lot!
@Sadjinareally really helpful video thank you
@zerofuntimes🎶🎧🎤🔊Excellent video, really complete and well-edited. For newbies like me, it’s a bit difficult because there’s a lot of information.
