7:15 the catcher threw a good ball to the 3rd baseman. even a good figure skater cant throw such a nice ball.

The throw to Third Base at 2 minutes and 40 seconds was a bad call. One would think you might take the bad calls out of the video

The early slide into home plate was a really bad call. I don't know how your chest could be over home plate before your tagged and it still be called an out

This is a horse shit list without Max Ramirez in 2008. Make videos about whatever it is you know because it sure isn't baseball.

Great plays - bad title. I started watching because I thought it would have an in-depth discussion of how good a particular catcher was. Instead, it was just a lit of great catcher short clips. Which are inspiring, but not with the title suggested.
@masonicpool67021:15 wouldnt the pitcher be called for interference?
@seanisnotrealShoulda just made one called molina bros
@getty1871:13 surprised this one didn’t trigger a brawl. This guy ran 8 feet out of the base path and dove into the legs of the pitcher standing beyond the batters box on the other side of the plate. A wild pitch doesn’t mean find the closest guy and dive at his knees. Looks like the pitcher might have said something to him at the end there.
Same play at second base, taking out the knees that far away from the base and that guy is getting punched.
"in cricket that's a strike" 😂😂
@hectorurdiales4570Altuve always apears.
@しずー-e2nBest position ever! I loved playing catcher.
@kdtrimbleThat second one almost caught the first baseman napping just like it did the runner
@grantharriman284The catcher in 3:45 is like, “Wait, we’re not playing cage ball rules? That’s a strike.”
@MicahMcDonald-r8rSeveral of these plays violate the requirement that a runner have a clear path to the plate.
@roberthudson1959I'd like to challenge the call and review the tape.
@ChrisZablocki0:33 Fire that first base coach immediately.
@beaktThat last one was obstruction...almost textbook.
@jamesoliver6625The second play, the pickoff move to first, might be the coolest play I’ve ever seen. 100% sold that, perfect body language, perfect speed, perfect location. Amazing.
@ryanKautThe channel name sounds redundant.
@moejuggler1:15 I mean, the runner goes completely off the path between bases, he should be out without getting tagged.
@gogyoo⁉️@0:47 ~ so… If a catcher ends up catching the ball badly which makes it pop up in the air a few inches, and then they go ahead and finish catching it when it comes down, they get rewarded for that? I understand that the ball must’ve hit the bat a little bit, but it’s still ironic that I guess if the catcher had caught the ball without allowing it to pop up in the air then they wouldn’t have got the batter out.
@iMatti00Half of these are missing the catch to begin with and saving it. Just catch the ball in the first place would make you a better CATCHER!
@Machamp1982Took me a minute to realize this was different catchers... I was like "man, this guy's amazing..."
@GrimtheoristNotice that most of these great plays are before the catcher on one knee era.
@arthurgray86786:18 Umpire Eric Cooper. RIP, old friend.
@DJSmith67Just a baseball player doing his job. Most of these are just regular plays.
@nezukofjrThe way Trevor Story looked at the camera like that💀😂
@aaayyyyyyy1No replay on the 2nd one...sheesh
@SadiqiI appreciate the pitcher knowing what to do as well. Catcher scrambles after ball, pitcher sprints to plate to catch and tag the runner heading for home. Good teamwork.
@d_leachmo
@joepolansky9412No Yadi? man...youd be at 1m subscribers by now
@TXTrophiesGood video. Didnt showcase the best catcher ever lol.
@magismith9215I thought runners werent supposed to run too far out of the baseline? the guy at 1:20 went way the hell out there to avoid the catcher. He was at least 6 feet off the baseline. After looking up the rules it says the base path isnt established until the tag is attempted and the runner cant deviate more than 3 feet to avoid being tagged, so is this okay because he anticipated the catchers actions and tried to run wide before the base path was established?
@leastcreativeusernameI’m a catcher to I agree
@JessicaSimmons-d8cSuch an under appreciated art form…. So much so I won’t pick the dodgers to win if Barnes is catching and will smith on the bench… it’s that important
@bb_beautyprincess_bbpryx4:35
FINALLY Crime Dog is in the HOF !
496 HR's
1550 RBI's
No roids.
Catcher chasing down pass balls that roll left or right and jumping from their knees to throw it home👌🏼
@coopers1716Caught from age 7 through a year of college ball. So fun bringing me back memories of making a lot of similar plays. Got to catch my son's first coach pitch game 2 weeks ago. That was so much fun!!! I could use a MBA, and I still have some eligibility and am still in shape. Hmmm...
@Tiger1016.That dive at 2:58 was too cute lol
@Hahak-k3g7:20 feels like an all timer for all the right and wrong reasons
@datboiquadzillaEveryone always forgets catcher is the most important defensive position in the game (not SS or CF). It was a pleasant surprise to hear ol Vin Scully 3/4 of the way through the video. I’m a diehard Padres fan but we can all appreciate that man’s greatness
@efg1311i miss hedges on the pads
@JoecozerHonestly, I think what impressed me most in this video was the pitchers hustling to the plate and getting down to block it.
@GregMcNeish0:23 will forever be my favorite! He played it off so well
@MannuhFestIt0:22 Freaking brilliant. If I was the pitcher I'd buy him dinner that night.
