I think Milian is a possibility for this September and also including the Lake District just North Como Lugano and Maggio for a 3-week trip. Thank you for this detailed city guide of Milano. It is a major work! My favourite place in Milan is Castello Sforzesco. I would add the south-west part of Milan that has two aspects: the religious one with la Basilica di San Lorenzo and la Basilica di San Eustorgio and the other aspect is the carefree one : the district of Naviglio Grande - a canal. You can feel the atmosphere of the old Milan.
