Couldn't have put it any better. I find that, after my studio time in the week or two following, where I'll have a really hard time writing at the same scale or quality as before. My way of handling it, is by taking a month in between studio sessions while relaxing and not writing for the first two or three weeks. Usually, by the third or fourth week of letting my brain reset, my writing will be on point, and I can never seem to put the pencil down. finding your inspiration for songs can and should be the easiest part. whenever you feel any emotion at all, encapsulate that in your writing. Whether your upset, happy, frustrated, or impassionate about life! Thats the beauty of it all, because no matter what, someone else in the world is feeling that same exact emotion and can relate to you and or your writing. Be yourself, stop trying to make or emulate a sound you've heard from someone else. There is absolutely no problem with using them as inspiration, but the reason that song you really liked sounded so good, is because it came from that writer's heart. listen to your inner voice and let them guide your hand and paint the picture.

This guy sampled all his music, literally didn’t have to write anything. And his lyrics are all the same and basically have no musical context. Pretty easy to rant over some song you’ve heard a million times a million different ways. Try inventing something that’s never touched someone’s ear before. Or doing something never been done. That’s true writers block. Making a song that hasn’t already been made.

Insanely wise the way he put it. How the inspiration just comes and you cant force it. Its almost like a blessing. Felt it a few times but I definitely try to force it most of the time.

As a writer, your best tool is a notebook and pen. When it strikes you, or you hear someone say something that feels real, you write it down. Writers block is a sign you need distance from your situation, but never get away from what you do. Keep your tools at hand, inspiration comes quick and fades forever even quicker.

This is exactly how I get over creative block. It’s best to not think of an idea, but to have an idea come to you, those are the best ones

A lot of times I find myself with writers block and it’s apart of the process but I leave it alone and get inspiration from things like reading nature silence playing with my kids, smalls things we do everyday but tsk for granted, that’s when things come too you, the way creativity works is it comes too you like and energy stream you just need to be ready for it.
