Video Overview & Insights
Guitar techs Chad Zaemisch & Justin Crew walk us through James & Kirk's WorldWired guitar rigs.
could be really neat if they did a rig rundown on the m72 tour

I much prefer seeing all the gear and rigs on stage versus clean stages, but that's just me I get that not everyone everyone's into that

The interesting thing here is how you're using the multiple modelers to switch quickly. Obviously this was 8 years ago but I'd be curious to if this is still the case. I guess the better question since it probably is still being used is it still needed with modern equipment. Also only Kirk would need 5 wahs around the stage.

I am proud that I have 1 piece of their equipment: the boss foot switch XD
@ivailobalev6536it's nice what amp modeling has became - I myself using it a lot - but it made rig rundowns a snore-fest.
@matiasmoulin2126High tech sound stage engineer's. Its mind boggling on how they get the stage ready and etc. Respect!
@justdeaf-ry6bnUnd die ganzen Technik bei der Tour jeden oder zweiten Tag auf und abauen höchtleistung
@lederhosen6I can't imagine what it's like being a roadie for Metallica. The amount of pressure and attention to detail is needed, not only for the sound, but also visual effects and all the structure around. Hence, to make sure that everything is working properly throughout the concert. It's probably a blessing and a curse to be on the road.
@de.gusciusKirk's sucks at guitar
@vato7ococan we get up date on this video
@Imjimbo187I don't know why ANY band who uses modellers on stage has never sold the presets. Leaving money on the table there. I'd absolutely spend a chunk of cash on them.
@TUUK2006Great that Metallica hired an actual NASA engineer to take care of their live setup.
@bmno.4565Cool
@MDHenry4Nice guitar s you're cars are so zztop like
@MaxRoy-z8tI liked the record factory 3:21 ❤❤look at them flags hanging reminds me of school.and you
@MaxRoy-z8tDoes anyone recognize the guitar Kirk is holding at 0:08?
@livelifeeasy69man when did it become this complicated 😂
@thomas_the_catA whole different universe from Garage Days.
@liminAlchemyWhere’s the black ESP MX 250?!?! That thing was a workhorse on the “Black album” tour!
@kittyhawk0420I'm a musician, producer and engineer for 35 years. Ask anyone who tours, the real hero's are these blokes behind the scenes. Without them, nothing would function. We get to nonce around on stage like dickheads and have people throw adoration while these legends get absolutely bupkis recognition. Ask anyone in Metallica. Everyone of them will agree. Techs, stage hands, lighting guys, FOH, monitors - there from sun up till way passed midnight every bloody night. Love you guys, and all you do it for. The love of music. Absolute legends. Love you blokes to bits.
@DrakenhaxNotice the face of Kirk when he's playing Greenie lol
@reallytvrealityHow many wah pedals is there though?, you know Kirk “Wah” Hammett needs access to a wah at all times
@PickleJam300_Jbqits WIIIIIIIIIIIILD to see greeny in a damn road case lol wtf
@DrMurdercockGreat video. Fascinating insights from a seasoned professional, who really understands how guitar electronics behave in the live realm.
@emgee9775If Crew dropped Greeny I would have a 50/50 chance of either laughing or being speechless and Kirk would lose his shit. I would pay to see the footage of Kirk losing his marbles lol
@FlynnStukenbroekermy god- we who just have a guitar and an amp dont stand a chance
@Hatchmar.the.RelentlessA grown man….. a nasa shirt🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
@Street-shittersomehow i have never seen this thanks youtube
@flammable-guitaristRedikiliss.. all I need is 3 chords n the Truth!!!😊😊😅😅🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂
@joeswampdawghenrywow - this is so cool - I missed my vocation in life, I'd love to hear more about how these guys got their gigs with Metallica
@thfc1973Paul Heyman
@JackMaister39Musicians that don't opereate their own pedal boards..... right.
@ianrotten4453Is there a rundown like this for the 72 Seasons tour?
@peaelareall pro... what a cool job.
@cclayton1917I don’t understand most of what all the electronics are doing, but appreciate the depth and detail. Crazy how much goes into what looks like a simple metal show.
@HomebodyAnonAxeFX. Ok. Thats why they sounds like sh*t these days
@stanpopovskyThey should really bring these guys out for a bow at end of show
@eazyridin7283Bro needs to be protected and studied at all costs, legendary senior sound engineer / AV specialist
@LynTheDonXJust saw them in, of all places, Blacksburg, VA last night, May 7th. All I can say is WOW. That was amazing. And Zakk Wylde is playing with Pantera on this M72 tour.
@nateloyde7760Playing metal gets lots of electronics.
Led Zeppelin 😮❤
Bought that tuner for my guitars because of him..lol
@harveyferris835This has to be one of the most technically difficult jobs on the planet. Like they have to know when to turn some pedals off or send wireless tuning frequencies? And which guitar goes with what song? This is crazy. Like who are these people? Time for a reality show that I never knew I wanted.
@IronSikh44Can you guys do an updated version of this?
@williamscolaro1159Big bands even bigger behind the scenes .
@ashleyjackson8538no one plays real amps these days and it shows
@robbyrobby7721KIRK MARRIED HIS WAH-WAH ,PRETTY SOON THE MINI -BABY WAHs WILL START SHOWING UP ☹️! WTF ,KIRK,TOO MUCH IS NOT A GOOD SOUND. ONLY TROWER 🎸🎼🎶🎶🎶👍✌️😎!BOB.
@BobbyBecker-t9jMetallica are clowns. They don't use pedalboards they use engineers in the back stage. Their concert are fake. Fuck off metallica
@tempoverràWow!! what ever happened to plug in and rock out!!?? :/ it must be hundreds of thousands if not millions!! to put on a show now!! :0
