I remember hearing a British Jew recount how, since white chapel, English Jews fought to just be respected as British citizens. Then when Jews finally were seen as equal to Englishmen, the newspapers would read of the newly formed country of Israel, where all Jews belong. After that, they were foreigners again. The interchangeable use of anti-israel to anti-semitism is crazy.
