there are so many options out there we would genuinely be insane throwing 100m+ on Diomande, I was not all on board with us going all out for Isak because I was very skeptical about him being able to justify that price tag, he is a quality player but the main issue is his fitness, with Diomande I would be worried that he just never becomes the world beater we would hope he becomes, its just too risky, better to take a chance on a smaller fish and develop them into big one, I like the idea of Minteh, many people liked him a year ago, now because of the last season where his output was poor everyone wants to forget about him, but he is still a quality player, very young, really all he needs to improve is that final product, otherwise he has it all, if we could get Barcola I wouldnt worry about Minteh at all, I like El Mala too he is the same age as Diomande and got good numbers, he is two-footed, can play both flanks, he is quite big for his age so wouldnt struggle in the Prem, Toure is good, Diomande's compatriot, actually left-footed, good provider, Pardo is very versatile, can cover at striker too, likes to press, is really quick, good technically, there are still the likes of Yildiz we could try, Nwaneri at Arsenal isnt getting opportunities we can try the waters there, no need to worry about Diomande

None of these players are good enough to play on the RW for Liverpool... Might as well get Salah back for another year. Smells like a massive fail no matter what they do.

If not Diomande, Rayan is the obvious second choice. Minteh would be okay. I'd also be pretty happy with Nico Paz or Guler for the right and then keep Wirtz in the 10 with pace on the left wing.

There have been rumors for at least the last 2 years that he is unhappy about playing time in Madrid and would welcome a move to be a starter with another team. I know he doesn't fit their current strategy of signing very young players (15-22) but he'd make the team better right away and can be the #1 choice while other younger players develop and fill in squad roles until they are ready.

@xJMCMaybe its being petty, but it just seems to me that if they go get Barcola now they are taking the cast-offs of the team that got the guy they really wanted.
@CanadianRonin37Let's not forget that Isak drifts wide left quite a bit. He's not just a straight #9. So any winger who can drift in and out of space from wide areas will be suitable. Fernandez Pardo looks ready, and consistently plays anywhere across a forward line. Wirtz dropping passes to him would be dynamite. More ready than Diomande. And he can play on Salah's side.

@drewebb546We need to go all out for Rayan now. He's the same age as Diomande and has a similar potential/ceiling and he's already got experience playing in the EPL under Iraola. If we were willing to spend around £100m on Diomande I don't see why we can't test Bournemouth's resolve with a bid for the Brazilian.

@skapenguinI think we might go for someone a bit older as a stop gap until rayan is potentially available. Perhaps look at Pulisic or Bowen maybe, depending on the price. I’d have kept Salah a bit longer if his wages weren’t as high. We just needed to add other players with pace
@TheRealCalJonesThe way the transfer prices are going, offer £100 for Rayan as Bournemouth need to build a bigger squad for Europe. They won't want to sell.......but we need a starter, and I'd imagine he'd wanna come to play at Anfield and paly in the champions league as we as tripling his wages overnight

@tristan9913Some of the players folks say we should look at are absolute dross , we are in a dreadful mess with not replacing salah sooner and letting him go for free . The transfer window isn’t open and it’s not time to panic , but unless a miracle happens, it does look seriously like we’ll be starting the season with a make do right winger until someone with what we really need becomes available. One thing I don’t want is the likes of Harvey Elliot starting there, he’s as slow as a snail

Apart from Rayan the options talked about are very underwhelming, So much so that id rather just use Elliott as a more creative right winger with Frimpong providing the width and pace as the overlapping RB.
