Todd Boehly doesn't make the decisions on transfers, that's a 3-year-old narrative, we haven't bailed on our strategy we have simply made adjustments and assurances, we will still operate under essentially the same model, however we will recruit immediate quality and experience where necessary, the vast majority of our recruitment will still be geared towards finding great value in the market suitable to what Alonso wants for the team, once that value has been identified, Alonso will have a lot more power when compared to our previous coaches under this ownership in as much as who in particular from those targets we have scouted is ultimately signed as well as who is sold, as it should be for any well ran club, why would you ever hire a Head coach/Manager whose input you do not value heavily on the building of their squad, the only reason I can see why you would do that, is that you are hiring essentially a placeholder head coach, because the person you want to back for the long term isn't available.
