Live Sound POV Gig Log: A New Tear Down Record!
DJ
Buckle up, this is a long one. Usually, I have POV of my setup, but not tear down. This time, I was able to get tear down, AND actually capture a new solo record at the same time. Under 1 hour for tear down. How did I do it? Watch and find out! Hope you enjoy!

Quick advise as an old school sound man. Please from now on, ask the person that will help you stack the speakers on top of the subs "How's you back?" and then you can proceed on having the person help you. Believe me things are changing and you have no idea how much leverage an individual have in court if they fake an injury while helping you. Feel free to ask on how do I know this. Right now you might be thinking I'm crazy and this will never happen to you but believe me they're out there waiting for the right moment.

Hi there, I wish there was a better way to see how you are working when plugging in to your stage box and other things because all we get is footage of your feet😂

I love watching other sound engineers setup their equipment it gives me ideas on how to make my setup more efficient and faster however some engineers really need to learn better cable management cause unfortunately there are picky people who see how cables are managed and base their hiring on it first then the quality of sound which is totally butt backwards and completely stupid

Nothing like Boomers and GenX dancing outside a corporate shopping center. Nice setup.

Love the videos as always, keep up the brilliant work! Would you by chance have a link to those speaker mount adapters you used, they are just the thing I need In my setup!

Why do you clear out your routing at the end of the show? Why not just save the file?

You could really benefit from either doing the line check up closer with a tablet, or getting a wireless mic for a talk back. I’d be not super comfortable with the yelling in front of people.

I notice you orient the subs with the amps on the bottom. Any reason for this? I see you did the speaker pole mount on the opposing side. Just curious if there was a specific reason

So, I am really interested in your X40s. They look so tiny! But sound wise, how would you compare them to the SRX835s? I have 4 of the 835s, and I have such a hard time sometimes getting off and on the lifts myself. I have the exact same subs you have, the 828s, but would love a lighter alternative to the 835s.

Nice to see the Promenade is a mainstay. I was living in Bethlehem when they built it and there were just 2 or 3 shops finished when I left. Thanks for the long form videos, those are the best!

long videos are the best 👌🏾 keep going brother.
@deewizzard808i've been struggling with the same thing this year, can stand a 100kg sub on its end fine but cannot lift a 20kg speaker off a pole, different muscles unfortunately
@maebeansLove the videos, would love to hear it live.
Also would be cool to get your snap or scene that you start with on the wing rack just to see your workflow and your channel chains
In the Mix, the movie...! Great work man, wow I am impressed how good those X40,s sound every time I hear them!
@DirkKlinkenberg-k3eImpressive work. You should get an affiliate link set up for those siamese cables - you're really making me want to invest in some to save setup and teardown time!
@MichaelNatrinAlso, I love the more longer POV videos including setup, show, and teardown. Keep up the good work!
@technicalgeek2025Still waiting on that video walkthrough of your rack setup. Especially the power part of it. :)
@HyBr1D55Thanks for the description of power, I’m always curious about that.
