Part of me wishes Judge Judy had threatened to withhold the dad's appearance fee and plane ticket home if he didn't abide by her ruling. She had done that in a case involving a dog. Hope the daughter got the car back, though.

Times like this, I wish there was some kind of "follow-up" show to see rulings get carried out. I want to see the defendant either forced to give her the papers and transfer ownership officially, or else see him get in legal trouble for refusing to follow JJ's ruling

Personally, I’ve never really had a family; my only family was my mother. Regardless of what she did or didn't do for me, I will always respect her as the wonderful person who gave me life. As a child, the thought of suing her never even crossed my mind—because there is respect, a special bond of blood between mother and child. You shouldn't use the courts to settle family matters. This family clearly lacks principles; the only principle they see is the dollar sign. She fails to realize that her father has stepped up far more than was required of him; she is a grown woman now with three children of her own, yet he has taken responsibility for her kids and acted as a grandfather. And now, simply for the money from a 1999 Corvette—a vehicle that is practically worthless, just a piece of property—she is suing her father. It’s all about the money. There are people out there who have no decency or respect for their own fathers; I find this kind of situation so sad!😢

In any other case, JJ would say “you broke the terms of the agreement by not paying the balance in the timeframe you agreed to in the contract” whether he had paperwork after that doesn’t matter. She didn’t pay for it when she was supposed to. He should have given her the money back and just kept the car if he wanted to sell it.
They both have drama and half truths. They both hurt each other. It’s not just his fault. There is so much more between them than this case. But she broke the terms. He had the opportunity to say I’ll give her the money back. He can’t have it both ways.
