Thos groundbreaking album epitomizes George's immense talents as song writer and artist. We will never see the likes of him again. Thos has to be one of my favourite albums pf all time.

Cowboys and Angels, among others, is close to an apotheosis in his music.

Some of the criticism around this album at the time tells you just how fucking stupid the world is. Too heavy, not fun, not upbeat enough. Entertainment Weekly dismised it as l"ess "vital" and "fun" than Faith, "and, for all its noble sentiment, entirely unchallenging". In The Village Voice, Robert Christgau dismissed it as "cocktail music" .

People are morons digesting pop garbage for their smooth brains.

He supported many charities and individuals in need , both with his time and money (millions) - often in secret, he was a great guy - R.I.P. George

George was one of the greatest songwriters.singers an performers of all time. He is greatly missed. I will always remember him from his Wham beginnings to his solo career. I loved both of them and I will miss him but I will remember him and listen to his music to my dying day,

I always come back my most loved and respected artist, the incredibly loved and off the scale singer, vocally, visually, performer, lush to look at, healer, Integrity tegrity/authentic/caring /kind/atrticulate/clever, spiritual and strong. Just because he passed , slow suicide because of the human condition- may be? But life isn't easy and those who have these struggles will know and understand what George wrote about. He spoke his truth with passion and truth yet enveloped and clothed the pain and shon Hooe and light on his joy , isn't that so true of life. It's how we deal and cope with it❤
Love you George. You're home now and healed but I still wish I could have seen you one more time❤

I think this is probably his best album! He fought with Sony for 10 years after that until we heard more music from him - shame they wanted to crush his talent and creativity

Amazing album from and extraordinary man ❤ so sad he,s not still here. However his music and voice will be around forever 😢❤❤❤❤❤

Timeless & such an enormously talented song writer & soulful singer. Even more so a most beautiful soul who gave so much to charitable causes without having to inform the world about it. A humble funny loving soul taken too quickly. Still enjoying his music yet he had so much still to give. Be at peace with the Angels Gorgeous 'Yog' singing from on high.💖🙏

Better than Spotify remastered version like 100 times

Out of a year of seminal albums from what was my freshman year in college, where SO MUCH growing, learning, hurting and bursting through the patriotic and religius myths of childhood, this one has stood the test of time and stand atop the others.

Thank you. A truly great album by a great artist. RIP George.

I love Mothers Pride as his greatest song. It wasn't about him or his experiences, it was about what he's seen in other people.

All I can say, has already said so far, except on a purely superficial point,
The Praying for time video and faith show up just how super cool and perfect looking he was,at his peak ,I mimicked the designer stubble for years, I'm not of that persuasion, but I recognize perfection.
The only person that arguably supercedes him,in my humble opinion,
Would be Elvis,in his 68 Comeback Special,in the black leather suit, George wins it for me on a technicality,he wrote, the lot ,words, music, arrangements,on the majority of his stuff,I'd love to hear from you George fans , your thoughts and opinions
