Well, I’ve been trying to learn Spanish and German for years… can I speak German or Spanish? No sadly. I feel I’m on the cusp of understanding either but not there yet.
I do use Babbel and I am thinking of giving LingQ a try.
I am so determined to speak German and Spanish but still not there.
I do speak French and English.
I need to converse and get the spoken language going. That might be my block; no one to speak and practice with.
Thanks for the good review on Babbel versus LingQ.

LingQ is the BEST!!!

▬ ABOUT THIS VIDEO ▬

LingQ vs Babbel (Which Language App Is Better?). In this video, John and the language experts from Test Prep Insight compare the language learning apps from Babbel vs LingQ. John discusses what the language lessons and learning methods are like from both of these language learning programs. These are two popular language apps for learning to speak Spanish, Italian, German, and other foreign languages. Best of luck!

These apps are so different and targeted to different audiences a comparison cannot really be made. Babble is better for absolute beginners in a language. LingQ is for people who know the basics and are ready for input by reading and listening.

LingQ vs Pimsleur Review:

I’ve been using LingQ since 2015, and I have to say that it’s not an app designed for beginners. You really need to grasp and trust the comprehensible input method or you’ll likely struggle. LingQ was created by a polyglot for polyglots. My native language is Spanish, and when I was a kid, I learned Japanese (institute) and then English using the comprehensible input method. Later, I turned to LingQ to expand my vocabulary in those languages and also to learn German. It was so engaging that I’ve continued using it to this day. Now I’m tackling Chinese, I find it quite easy, but I attribute that partly to my strong foundation in Japanese. I recommend it but it can be frustrating if you don't have the basis.

Babbel vs Duolingo Review:

Here is THE test for any app, class or any program claiming to teach a language. If they honestly cannot demonstrate that 60% or more are not basically fluent after completing the program, it is a failure. Always remember that on a 100 point exam less than 60% is a failure.

I would love to learn Greek. It's a beautiful language which is filled with an amazing history of written literature from the Greek tragedies, to the writings of the New Testament. Also, more than 30% of the English vocabular finds its roots from the Greek language and modern Spanish has also been strongly influence by Greek. I would be very grateful to be given the chance to learn this language since I live not to far from a Greek community and I am saving up to go to Greece hopefully next year, thank you.

Is Lingq a good companion to using Babbel and Lingq? I am thinking using two language apps like these would be a great combination. What do you think? I might have answered my own question from a previous comment on another video I watch of yours. Great video thanks.
