I’ve learned that our 20s is about fking up, change, and discovery. I’m turning 30 this year and even though I’m struggling, I feel more equip to take on life than I was in my early 20s. Your life doesnt end at 30. If youth is all that matters, it’d be a waste. Theres still so much life to be lived and more to discover. Purposeful marketing and the over sexualization of women and young girls brainwashes us into thinking that our youth or hottness is our only asset. It’s all bs. Our life and being is OURS. If we rely on our value coming from the opinion of other people, we are giving our self worth to losers who don’t even matter. Middles school me would be so surprised to hear me now after hearing this then. I don’t “feel 30”. I’m finally beginning to feel like “myself”.
