His version, THE VERSION, LOL, is much more hopeful and normalized than the others, l've heard ( the best KL, is just insanity good but very hopeless). The "l learned to touch" , and several other lines, change it radically if you are looking at the message as something to hold onto ie. every relationship is disappointing and not quite as deep & wide as we hoped, but I was totally wallowering in other versions, long story no one cares about my reasons for being in the pain that brought me here, but this version switched my self-pitiful-wronged feelings into a more existential "no relationship is ever what we dreamed of in our Disney movie developmental mindset" - conceptualization.
I'm sticking with this version, the #2 guy that sings this version had such a sad life, l'm going to have to skip to #3 to see if l can find an accurate rendition in a younger voice (l'm old, l'm not criticizing us oldsters, and if you are grabbing your pearls, give everyone, including yourself, a break)❣️

And anyone who understands it would never sing it any differently, they wouldn't cut one word, and l can't listen to any adapted version, and l won't l refuse to, & you who have including KL, you have hurt this song and sentiment❣️
