Lee Byung hun sums it beautifully in 7:30 the relationship between his character and 456. Both had made a choice one decided that humans were just not worth it, they were ugly went pin against the wall, yet 456 was able to hold onto that faith that humans were selfless but also they were not pawns. That no matter if they were pin against the wall, the choice to go black lays in each person. So he did feel inferior to 456. What all those years have kept him alive. Winner after winner did as he did. Then along came this man 456 to tell him he was wrong.
