Description: This MSc-level course was offered at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) during the Spring 2025 semester.
Tremendous and very clear lectures. Still, I have some questions:
1) In day-ahead market: why bidding at noon, for two hours, for the entire next day? It means that some bidding occurs on closer hours, others on further ones. Why not using a 24/7 market bidding for an hour at a constant time interval from bidding time (so, always bidding for an hour in 24 h, or 12h,...) ?
2) Given the difference in per hours predictions confidences in day ahead given the varying time span between bidding and execution time, do we observe increases in intraday market at further hours from bidding time ? Does it creates a documented systemic volatility pattern on intraday market ?
