You also have to factor in different tuning, for example, I've grown really good with E standard, drop d, E flat standard drop D flat, and I'm currently working on drop B, kill me 😅

I watched another vid, and the title was "teaching you the scales as if you're 5" (I didn't understand anything tho) and came here and figured it out the moment you played.

Now what are you doing with your right hand when you do that? How about beginner

@JaimeDonaldson-y5g
@

The trick I learned for the upper octave of scales is pretty simple. It's the same pattern starting at the 8 (root + an octave), but at the B string, you shift one fret higher.

This video was helpful as always! I've been in the mud on minor scales being other major scales for a while now, thinking about it differently should help bridge that gap on getting into the other modes.
Thanks!

Um guys this is my first uncle Stuart video is this normal here😭?

@Benettaaa
@

genuinely this has been his most helpful video which is ironic since he keeps criticising the video in the video when it’s better than all other episodes. like now i think abt scales in terms of which notes are sharp and flat, which is SO much easier than memorising the frets

- from a piano player tryna learn guitar

@EurekaX

Congrats on being the most insufferable "um, actually" know-it-all I learned to read sheet music first so I know all the notes and that notes are a human construct because sound is real and only some of it sounds like music to most people.

Any top 100 song that you heard one year and survived didn't put the scales together the worst way possible.

I love this video, I wish we could be married without hurting people other than myself. (this is irony. I also unironically enjoyed a Fleetwood Mac coverband because I hadn't heard of them until I watched Glee and shipped Faberry) i'm not giving out any other password guesses for free
