I had been rescued myself as a teenager from life marked by captivity under a forced, threatening relationship. Today, I am part of God's army sent out, rescuing drug addicts, street boys and girls. This song is our rescue mission anthem, Lauren, if you don't mind. I love it a lot.

I always prayed for someone to rescue me from the life I have been dealt , especially having being the person who rescues everyone else around me. Nobody showed up for me but God himself. That's my reason for still being here today. I have nobody but God and that's all I ever needed.

However, I had a vivid dream of someone singing it continuously in front of me, and I woke up with it ringing in my mind, so I came to listen to it again. This is at a point where I questioned my faith and wondered where God was in certain circumstances.
