@nicknothyngthis song hit me bad. i’ve never really felt like i was able to express myself for myself, never quite felt like my own person if that makes sense, looking back on it many parts of my identity throughout my life were culminated from what i thought others wanted me to be. sometimes as a woman the words “you are beautiful” and “you are loved” feel like the same thing. it helps me, atleast, to remember that they aren’t. that you don’t need to be beautiful to be loved. that you are worth more than your looks, despite everything society and companies have been telling women for years to profit off of us.
