LAS VEGAS TRAVEL GUIDE: 13 Things to Know Before You Go
Video Overview & Insights
Everything YOU need to know before you travel to Las Vegas Nevada. Las Vegas is BIG, so is the Strip. Downtown Las Vegas is really far from the strip but the Freemont Street Experience is cool and it's neat to see "old" Vegas. Don’t pick the cheapest hotels… You’ll regret that $25/night rate.

If you want to be in the “middle” stay around Caesars Palace. If you like “peace and quiet” pick a non-casino hotel. In the winter it can be really cold and windy! Bring a jacket Nov-Feb.
The casinos are always super cold… so bring a light jacket or sweater even in summer. Buffets are great, but just once a day. Twice a day is overdoing it!
ABC is decent for cigars

@stephanielong2895You talk about a non-Casino hotel, but don't mention Trump International Hotel, why?

@removechan10298As a local of Vegas for 10 and someone how goes 3 times a year, I'd like to add a tip, consider staying at a hotel away from Fremont or the strip. There are multiple hotels that have casinos in them that are isolated. But there are several advantages. 1. There are very few young people and loud drunks, my favorite hotel is south point and it primarily consist of older people so it's a much more relaxing atmosphere . 2. They have the best odds on slot machines compared to the Fremont and strip hotels. 3. They have bingo, it's rare on the strip or Fremont to have bingo. 4. It's considerably cheaper than most hotels on Fremont and the strip.
Good options are south point and suncoast, when I go to Vegas it's almost always at south point because they recently renovated there rooms and they are massive.

@juicytoot5571. Plan, plan, plan. You can see the whole strip with a combination of Deuce bus, Monorail, free trams and walking. 2. To each his own, but the "Arte Museum" wasn't nearly worth $50 each to me. Visit an actual museum near your home instead. 3. Ditto the faux U-2 concert at the Sphere, which seems more like a sanity test than entertainment. 4. Research cheaper restaurants. No reason to pay $20 for bacon & eggs at your hotel when you can walk 5 minutes. 5. Buy snacks and the cheapest coffee maker ($10) at Walmart for your room. You'll save the cost in a day plus the morning trip downstairs for takeout. 6. Think twice before renting a car. If going to the Hoover Dam or Grand Canyon, book a tour. 7. Visit Fremont St on the Deuce bus unless you're overly timid.

@GlassMatt2542Your daughter is so cute. Blessings ❤
@byronharano2391Thanksgiving 2024. My daughter and granddaughter stayed at the Westgate Hotel. Not on the Strip, but there is a monorail station on the property. My daughter got us all a decent room rate because she gets a discount from her workplace. The F1 Race was in town then. We enjoyed ourselves. My daughter and granddaughter live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am visiting from Arizona. Enjoy

@prodmuse-icLas Vegas is the perfect place to get ripped off. Don’t leave your common sense at home. Do your “due” diligence before arriving.
@RichardDenton-n3sJust discovered your channel. I've been going to Vegas for many years now. But last fall had a uniquely annoying experience that has lead me a great tip: always check waaayyy ahead of time before booking your stay and even before visiting a casino for an evening (by car or rideshare or taxi... only way out of this is by foot if you get stuck), make sure said property isn't hosting a famous musical act if you plan on leaving between the hours of 9pm and 11pm. If you have a vehicle there are 2 scenarios you want to avoid: 1) Valet - unless you get to the hotel in the afternoon or leave half an hour before the concert ends or stay until midnight, you will most likely be waiting a long time for your vehicle to be retrieved. 2) If you are unlucky enough to be in the parking structure, the higher you the longer it's going to take to get out of the structure. If you are getting a taxi, expect the rate to be higher and the Strip to be over-stuffed. Because the Strip is packed and the rate is so high, the driver will purposely stay in traffic and give every excuse why it's too much trouble to take side streets as the minute-to-minute rate will make him more than the non-concert average. If you call for rideshare, same issue with the rates, but unlike the taxi's who will already be there waiting for someone (like you), you will have to wait for them fight their way through the traffic to find you then fight through the traffic leaving the hotel and then purposely get stuck in the traffic. Your best bet is to just hang out until midnight, leave earlier than the concert's let out time, walk off-strip to call for rideshare or just do the due diligence and just avoid the hotel(s) will the big bands playing that night and plan accordingly.
