Depends on the fin. Plently of animals have a dorsal fin. And most sharks arent that much of a threat inherently unless you dont see them. Get underwater take a look at whatever it is.

If it IS a shark, well danger depends on the TYPE of shark. Id be wary of a Bull Shark or a Tiger since they've been known to cause problems with people. Or a Mako, or Hammerhead because they tend to be assholes.

Get a look at the body language, what are the pectoral fins doing? Are they just hanging out at their normal angle or are they dropped down in the pissy fishy pose?

If theyre in their normal position its probably just checking out the weird creature in the water and staying calm, keeping an eye on it, and body pointed towards it and itll get its eye full and fuck off.

If its fins are pointed down, and i mean way down, its pissed at something. Whether thats territorial or just not wanting you there. Keep an eye on it, get out of the water if you can, make no sudden movements, and refrain from flailing about like a dying fish and most of the time youll be alright.

Watch the eye, make sure it doesnt go white. That would be the membrane that covers its eye for protection when its striking prey. If it goes white its considering whether youd make a good chew toy and if its worth finding out. Doesnt mean that it WILL attack, just that ots considering it an option. Again, stay calm, keep eye contact as sharks are ambush predators, make your way to land if possible.

If youre diving and have the air to spare, and depending on the water depth (im assuming close to shore and relatively shallow waters, rather then a deep technical dive) and species of shark, try getting on the floor or back towards rock/coral formations. Many sharks prefer to attack prey from below or behind and doing so will make you look less appetizing for most species as theyd have to attack head on. That being said, something like a hammerhead wont give a shit. Best way, know what they hunt and do your best to not look like that or something that favors their hunting strategies on their favourite prey and keep your limbs close to you. !n outstretched arm can look like a oppurtunity. But you dont have to go full fetal position either. Just be reasonable and dont flail about or try to pet the danger sushi.

We generally arent appetizing to sharks. Theyll usually get a good look in and fuck off. And yes, ive dived with a number of shark species in andout of a cage, not always deliberately mind you.

One can only pray that witcher 4 won't be complete ass. And before anyone says "Ciri looks fine get over it chud". I couldnt care less what Ciri looks like in the CG trailer, geralt also has more of an ugly mug in the cg trailers. But what is really worrying is the fact that they essentially redconned lore from the books and their new "Lore Master" is an Ex-games-journalist who in his own words "Wants to punch gamers in the face.". To top that off a large chunk of the talent behind witcher 3 left CDPR and made a new Studio called Rebel Wolves (name is a bit on the nose) and they're working on a game called The Blood of the Dawnwalker. If all that doesn't make you worry for Witcher 4 then I can only imagine you're a mindless slop consuming sheeple.
