They will take all your money, and in return, you will get your money back and also a little extra, but they'll also give you skin in the game. Their game. Every mass layoff, every stock buyback, every anti-worker legislation will result in the value of your investment going up. Every socialist politician elected, every union victory, every new tax on the rich will hurt your equity. When America starts another war, and a missile hits another elementary school, the part of your portfolio representing the maker of that missile will go up. When the state bails out an ailing bank or automaker, you get some of that taxpayers' money in your equity. You will develop opinions on the wealth tax (bad) and corporate landlords (good). Over decades, this can change a person. The money you so smartly invested will become a weight around your neck.

@saranoroozifar243An issue Iām surprised you didnāt bring up that IMO makes these pop culture betting pushes even worse than the sports betting ones is the possibility of insider trading. Of course athletes have been bribed to throw games or just give inside information about how John Smith wonāt be playing at his best because he has the flu but the final outcomes arenāt inherently predetermined. Thereās an entire staff of editors and publicists and others who have to put together episodes of Love Island and other such shows, all of whom know what happens before the public does and who could use that information to make hefty profits off regular fans.

@SemiIoconMy state doesnāt have a lottery or scratch tickets. So thatās how I treat these apps. Once in a while Iāll come across a bet with crazy odds and Iāll bet on the underdog. I have no expectation of winning but if I lose 10 bucks Iām fine with that. If I win then Iāll go out to dinner or something. Itās fun if you look it that way.
