Nazmin and I loved each other deeply. We went from being best friends to falling in love. Nazmin was generally a very rude and angry person, but when it came to me, she was incredibly calm and completely free of ego.
However, due to some misunderstandings between us, I went offline. When my anger finally subsided a few days later and I came back online, I saw 99+ messages from her. As I read through those messages, I burst into tears because she had pleaded so desperately for me. But just as I was about to text her back, I realized she had deactivated her Facebook ID.
I started crying like crazy. Later, since my friend's girlfriend had a good relationship with her, I asked her about Nazmin. She told me that Nazmin was still waiting for me, but since her board exams were coming up, she went offline and would return once the exams were over.
A few days after that, I traveled six hours from Dhaka to her village in Magura. I stayed there for 9 days and searched everywhere for her, but I couldn't find her because Magura is a very large area.
From that very first day until today, it has been 87 days, and I am still waiting for her. We used to listen to this song together, and only now am I truly feeling its original meaning.
